Fruit hurting your health? Try mineral supplements

Like many of you, I have had my share of health problems with fruit, mainly sore teeth and anxiety attacks. However, besides eating only high-quality fruit (please see my sticky thread in this forum about Brix and health), I have found that supplementing with bone meal and healing clays like Terramin to be VERY helpful if reducing these problems.

I have found that taking bone meal or clay with the fruit is very helpful, particularly with sore teeth. I will often have 1/4 teaspoon of bone meal after every 2-3 fruits, or even between every fruit. Some people are not suiting to a VLC or ZC diet, and I find this an excellent way, along with choosing high-quality fruit, to avoid the strange health problems that fruits often seem to cause.

do you make your own bonemeal? Or do you use a commercial one that is prob heat treated?

I've sore teeth sometimes. my teeth are very healthy and strong (zero cavities). At night some of them are painfull when I bite down. Its gone in the morning. Not brushing my teeth with toothpaste helps.

I use a commercial brand.  I would probably be better off making my own, but I don't think that the minerals are very damaged by the heat. They're basically rocks.

the advantage of bonmeal over rock powders is that the minerals are organicly bound. not sure if that advantage remain after heat treatment

I agree, it might be worth experimenting with raw bone meal, just to see if I can tell a difference in my health.

I get the sore teeth too, from fruits and centrifuged "raw" honey (but not raw fermented honey). Do you have any idea what causes it? It can occur rather quickly, even while I'm eating the food. Rather puzzling.

With the fruit, I'd just say the fruit acids.  With the raw honey, I don't know...I have experienced it with honey, too.

Sore teeth can be caused by trigger points ('knots') in some of the jaw muscles.

If this is the cause, then a food which changes the level of overall muscle tension, changes the body chemistry somehow etc could make these points a bit more active and bring on the soreness.

No, it contains only trace alcohol at most per the Really Raw people and other sources on raw fermented honey and it has no alcohol taste or effects. You might be thinking of mead, which is an alcoholic beverage made from honey. Raw fermented honey is not exactly the same thing and typically has much less alcohol (less than 1%). It's illegal in the USA to sell any product to minors that contains more than trace alcohol.

Sore teeth can be caused by trigger points ('knots') in some of the jaw muscles.
I don't have sore jaw muscles and there's no change in how my jaws feel when my teeth become sore or the soreness goes away.

It doesn't work exactly like that. You wouldn't necessarily notice sore jaw muscles or a change in how they feel etc. Good luck with it anyway though.

I was told many years ago by a dentist not to drink lemon water as the acidity can eat away the tooth enamel, causing increasing sensitivity as it thins. My enamel is very worn over my molars and a little dentyne is exposed in places, which makes them very sensitive (mainly from chewing because a lot of my teeth don't meet so a few teeth have been overused!!!). Anyway, can barely tolerate any acidic fruits - avoid pineapple, strawberries, raspberries, and limit citrus and tomatoes and sour apples. But anything too sweet also triggers the sensitivity, so honey I hardly use either. It seems that if I go through a stressful period, the sensitivity is worse, so the trigger point theory may have some validation. Especially sinsce if I am stressed, experiencing neck and shoulder tension, and then eat acidic fruit - wham, it triggers off a tension headache which seems to come straight from sensitive tooth. All connected. Green smoothies made with lots of greens, a few bananas and a little coconut oil very soothing and healing. Chewing beef fat also soothing.

I dont have problems with lemon juice eatting away my teeth because I have learned how to channel it down my throat without touching my teeth.

Of course if you swish it around in your mouth or chew on lemon flesh you will get erosion.
I don't claim that lemon water with eggs and high meat works well for everyone, but for some reason it seems good for me.

I do find that raw suet cleans teeth nicely, leaving them feeling polished, and it does seem to produce a mild feeling of well being, especially early on when I first started consuming it.

Not necessarily stress. Anything that increases haptic tension - the overall level of tension in the muscles. But yes, sounds right. Knots are not made overnight, but they can be more or less active depending on different factors.

Yes, I have found this since going onto raw meat. I put the suet in a bowl over hot water to soften it, then eat it - very soothing to teeth and emotionally as well.
