If you eat one day really a BIG amount of meat, you'll notice that your urine will smell strong/different. This is definitely affecting the kidneys. But
my personal view on healing is that there is no ultimate diet, its a balance, and every diet has it's side effets, which will eventually make us old/kill us. I just need to find the diet that -at this moment- is what I need. Sure, junk food I know I can do without. But I have to say, I (and many others) experienced veganism and fruitarianism as healing the first weeks/months... I don't say it's good for everybody, and certainly not in the long term.
What about Fallon, she wasn't exactly that healthy and glowing in my opinion, I definitely dont wanna end up like her... but neither do I want to go back to that fruitarian feeling, where you're always hyper, manic, hungry, cold, nervous, ungrounded and paranoid. Eating too much meat (I mean protein meat) takes away my drive when I need to accomplish things and be active. I would say, eating a high fruit/sugar diet is like being on natural speed. Not healthy. But too much meat make me feel heavy and slow.
Variety is the key good I think, eating high meat/liver, fermented stuff, overripe fruit (yeah I know some of you eat unripe fruit which I could absolutely not digest, that would give me a terrible stomach ache, plus it is not good for teeth, all this talk about anti-nutrients, and then they eat unripe fruits. Come on.), low alcohol mead/cider made with natural yeasts. Well, we talk about raw stuff. Maybe the next level is... live stuff...
