Health / Fragrance sensitivity.
« on: February 21, 2016, 07:48:54 am »
I've always got wheezie when someone sprayed alot of perfume around me. Then some time ago i noticed when i tried to make some flaxseed gel for my hair, i put in some lavender essential oil in it, my eyes got all red watery, and my nose started to run.

Then today when i washed my hair (i only wash it once a week) i put some conditioner in it (usually only wash with water). After it dried i my eyes got burning, red, watery, nose started to run, i got whoozie and my scalp was intching.  Sometimes with some soaps and laundry detergent, i get red skin rashes from.

So i wonder if anyone have knowledge about this? Is there anyway to get stronger against it? Or how can i smell somewhat good?

Found i video that was interesting.
I haven't checked the facts but at one point it says you can feed a carivore massive amounts of cholestrol and it doesn't effect them, But it you give it to a herbivore(rabbit in this case) it developed heart disease.

Here's the video.

Health / Feel like i can't get any oxygen.
« on: June 03, 2015, 07:28:59 am »
In the morning it's usually the worst. I get up and it feels like when you have been under a blanket and the air starts running out. Like i'm out of breath. I always sleep with the window open so i get air inside. I've tried going out for a walk when i wake up, but walking up a hill is almost like if i've been running. I'm about 130 pounds at  5,9.

This stays with me the whole day. It dissapears sometimes and i usually get better at night time. But not always.

If someone could help me out with this i would be greatefull.

General Discussion / My teeth are bent outwards.
« on: May 21, 2015, 05:07:58 am »
after going around with my jaw open/teeth not together my toungue has been pushing my teeth outwards. When i was little i also was addicted to sucking on a pacifier.

So my teeth look abit like the picture to the left here:

I wonder if there is something i can do to get them back in like the picture to the right. They are pretty straight and well formed. It's just that they are bent outwards. Well my upper front teeth is abit far to the front, resulting in my lip pouting outwards. I've been starting to have my jaw closed with my teeth together.

I've never been able to bite something off with my front teeth. For example i had to bite off spaghetti with my tongue pressing against my upper front teeth.

General Discussion / How are you able to substain this?
« on: February 26, 2015, 12:57:29 am »
Just wondering.

Going to a dinner at a friends/family house? Sure you could bring your own but if you are visiting someone over the weekend? I like to travel. Is it even possible to do that with this diet? It isn't that easy to find a butcher that quickly that has good meat or even meat available. There aren't special stores in every town. Do you guys get sick on every trip if you go travelling? You can't exactly get a couple of pounds of meat on the airplane. And if you are travelling by car you would have to have a fridge installed that drains electricity/fuel.

Health / I think my wife has candida.
« on: February 24, 2015, 07:57:43 am »
My wife has many of the symptoms of candida. (Feeling tired and worn down or suffering from chronic fatigue or fibromyalgia, Digestive issues such as bloating, constipation, or diarrhea, vaginal itching, sore and dry mucosa. Strong sugar and refined carbohydrate cravings). She's not overweight. Has been on anti-biotics sevral times. Last time a few months ago. She does not eat paleo or raw. As she is very sceptical to eating raw meat i would need some help becouse i've seen people here have had problems with it. Fermented foods will take a long time to have her try. Slowly easing in to it.

So i'm asking for a cure that's not too "weird" for her. So she can begin to defeat the candida and then slowly progress to a paleo/raw diet. I dont know how long it takes to get this over. She has had problems with her vagina since early teens. (No STD's, already checked). Or if it can be something else than Candida.

General Discussion / Store bought fermented fish.
« on: February 21, 2015, 11:01:21 pm »
We got surströmming here in sweden. It's fermented fish. (You can check it out at wikipedia).
Comes in a can that you can buy at the supermarket. I wonder if this is any good to eat as high meat? Being canned and all maybe it takes away the good bacteria?

Health / Feel weak, naussea, out of breath during day. Better at night.
« on: February 21, 2015, 10:52:18 pm »
I very often feel nausseus and weak during the day. It becomes hard to have my arms above my head, I feel like i can't catch my breath. Almost like i've been out for a run but i'm not gasping. My head feels heavy and slow. Can't think clear.

I can eat in the morning without much problem tho. But then the nassuea becomes worse. I've had this for years more or less. This holds on until maybe around 20:00 then i get more energy. I usually sleep around 8 hours every night.

I'm a 22 year old male. Around 122 pounds at 5.7 feet. It feels like a young man is not supossed to feel like this.

Welcoming Committee / Can i eat frozen meat for a newbie?
« on: February 11, 2015, 08:31:11 am »
I got ahold of some lamb meat from an organic farm. They were raised on grass and apples  ;D
Since i'm just starting this, i froze some of the fat around the liver and kidneys. I also froze most of the meat i got. I once tasted some raw store bought lamb, but had a hard time with the wool taste. So i figured i wouldn't be able to eat it all before it went bad. So now it's in my freezer waiting so i'm wonder if i can eat it raw? If yes, do i just let it defrost in room temperature in a bag?

Got two more questions.
I actually really enjoy the taste of ground beef. Only tried storebought tho(live in a city so it's hard to come by good meat).  The question is, is it any worse to eat grounded meat? I dont know why it tasted so much different than some raw roastbeef i tasted that had a pretty bad taste. The grounded beef had a kind of a sweet taste to it.

Third and last question. I ate a bunch of cooked  -[  pork a couple of days ago. Looks like this uncooked: My girlfriend doesn't like the fat on them so i ate hers too. (I'm not fat, rather underweight) I got really nauseous afterwards to the point i had to lay down in bed not to throw up. It is easy to say it was becouse it was cooked. But i'm looking for a more deeper answear to what made me sick.  -v

General Discussion / Getting a butchered lamb! What to do?!
« on: September 24, 2014, 09:39:49 pm »
Well i ordered a butchered lamb and i will get heart, liver, kidneys and fat. It will arrive soon. I've never tried this raw meat thing before more than eating some steak tartar and eating some raw beef. I dont really know what to do with all the meat and intestines? Hang/store it in some way in the fridge i guess but how long will it be good for? I dont have a very big fridge and i've heard freezing makes it taste worse. And i guess i will have my troubles with the taste in the beginning, so making it worse wont be good. Weird thing i once ate a raw lamb chop, wasn't bad but can't say it tasted great. Then i tried cooking it quickly on the outside, wich made it turn blue on the inside. I thought it would be more juicy like a stake but it made it taste worse and i couldn't finish it.

So and tips on how to store it and how long it will be good for?

Health / Elevator stomach problems, Good, Bad.
« on: August 28, 2014, 11:25:52 pm »
I've had a problem with my stomach for many years. Most of it was that i've been having very sticky/loose stools. Also when i went to school i always had a stomach cramp for about 1 hour every morning as i arrived to school. Always been at the edge on being underweight. Being around 138 pounds at 5.7 feet. When i stayed with a person who was lactose intolerant, i improved alot the first weeks then it went back again.

Tried many diets and sometimes my digestions was perfect and i were feeling perfect. Another day i were weak. And i couldn't trace it becouse somedays i could have been drinking and eating Mcdonalds after and have perfect digestion, other days i'd do the same and have diarrhea all day.
Then lately i stopped drinking any liquids while eating. And this seemed to have helped alot. I was always taking a zip to each bite. Althought i'm not all good, my digestion has improved alot. For some days ago i had some icecream 2 days in a row without having any gas or cramps.

Having problem eating in a public resturant (extreme nausea) which i believe is psychological. The raw carnivore diet appealed to me. Always knowing what to eat was a nice thought. Bringing my own to dinners (i've had to throw up becouse i forced myself to eat the food i was being offered). So i tried at first with a little piece of raw minute steak i had at home. Not too bad. Thought it would be juicy and taste almost like a rare cooked steak, but it didn't taste much at all and was rather slimy. so took a whole steak and cut it into pieces. I finished it but at the end i had problems swollowing it without gag reflex going off. Then for a whole day i had bad smelling gas, smelling abit like the meat tasted. This wasn't any good meat. probably grain fed.

After a couple of days i got ahold of some lambsteak. I took a steak and cut it into little pieces. This didn't have that weird taste the minute steak had. This didn't taste much at all, abit of lamb taste. Same here, i finished it but the last bit were abit tough to swallow. But then after a couple of ours i started to feel abit nauseaus, thinking of eating the steak made me ill. But no vomit or diarrhea. So today for breakfast i had another steak but i cooked it for just a few seconds in coconut oil. This time i could hardly eat a piece then i almost vomited and had to spit it out.

So i dont know where to continue from here on. Is this really something for me? Been eating some probiotics. Maybe this and the meat bacteria have been good for my digestion? I really want to gain some weight and have a steady digestion.

Health / Cheek swelling
« on: August 26, 2014, 10:52:07 am »
I'm just started and slowly transisting to a Raw paleo diet. I just got a question regarding my face.

I do part time work modelling. But i got this problem. Most days my jaw is pronounced and looks good. (jaw is pretty important for an attractive face). But on some days i think my cheeks get swollen or my whole face. Becouse it looks very different and my jaw looks abit weak. Ever had abit too much to drink, you feel like crap the next day but your face can be abit diffrent and actually look abit better, my guess would be that your water reserves went to get rid of the dehydration from drinking alcohol, making the face more lean. I dont know if it's anything that i eat that makes my face swell up or if it's something else. I'm almost abit underweight.

Any guesses?

General Discussion / Can you see if you are Carni/Omni/Herbivore?
« on: August 24, 2014, 11:03:27 pm »
Been wondering if you could tell by a persons looks/features what kind of diet is right for him or her.

For example, Russell brand is supose to be somewhat vegiterian

He seems to look healthy (Earlier pictures he was on heroin so not fare to compare).
He got somewhat of a horses teeth.

While some other people i've seen (hard to find good pictures) have large k9 teeth and not as prominent gums. More like a carvnivore/omnivore.

Could this tell something about what diet is best for each induvidial?
I've heard blood group can tell something too, but i dont know much about that.
