Hot Topics / Re: Sex drive on a raw diet?
« on: February 13, 2011, 02:43:37 pm »
When I eat a lot of raw meat, esp. fatty parts of wild boar, ram testicles, kidneys, yolks, etc. my sex drive skyrockets to unbeliveable levels.  8)
Physical activity promotes it too - esp. hindu squats, deadlift, which "attack" the large muscles and release lots of testosteron.

I consider fish organs untasty. The organ-meats from the land mammels are much more toothsome.

Wild animals are NOT living like cows on very small grasslands. Their risk of infection is much lower.
Wild animals have lots of parasites, esp. carnivorous ones. I think that every wild animal is likely to have some parasites. It's natural.
I too can have got them, but haven't got any negative issues.

Parasitic infections in ruminants explode as long as these animals have to graze on the same grasslands again and again...
I've eaten a plethora of meat from that kind of sheep and cows. And they are not given any deworming drugs whatsover. The meat has never been inspected.
It's from my friend Abdul, the Muslim.
He said that in Azerbaijan, where he comes from, people have eaten lots of raw dried meat from the sheep and goats and never experienced any problems.

General Discussion / Re: Fat in Liver
« on: February 13, 2011, 02:22:15 pm »
There is really small amounts of fat in liver.
So it's good to eat it with some animal fat. Every kind of raw animal fat is good.
Btw, 2 days ago I ate the fat from the spinal cord (from cow) - so delicious. :)

I just want to make sure parasites did not kill you!
That's impossible.
I kill them when I eat them. My strong, not diluted gastric juices annihilate them  8)

Off Topic / Re: No more farts now that we're raw paleo!
« on: February 13, 2011, 02:12:21 pm »
I fart when I eat the wrong foods or generally too much.
Recently I ate couple of pears and started to fart quite a lot. I ate them after the one-year brake.
Farting a little from time to time is good. Only too much of it, combined with some stomach disorders is bad.

Primal Diet / Re: egg whites for vision

You mean in "Recipe..."? On which page?
If it's true tt would be really amazing.
Now throw away the whites, as I eat only the yolks.

I feel rather cold when I'm eating zero-carb. Not immediately, but after couple of days.

Excellent.
Now I know what kind of cakes I will prepare for my children, in the future.  O0

« on: February 13, 2011, 01:48:24 pm »
I like the taste of honey, but my teeth don't like the aggressive sugars.
I feel the same.
I think that those primitive tribes in Africa who ate huge amounts of raw honey had very healthy teeth, not "battered" by civilization.

Joke, of course. ;)
Sorry for my absence.

Some people say that supermarket meat is better cooked than raw, because the bad bacteria are killed.

Primal Diet / Re: Carbs in the a.m.
« on: February 13, 2011, 01:31:22 pm »
AFAIK people who are very sensitive to carbs, esp. simple ones, feel rather out of sorts after eating them as the first meal in the a.m.
They feel the best when they eat them in the evening, as the last meal.
But I feel very good when I start my day with some fruits, usually at 10-12 a.m. After 1-2 hourse after them meat and fat goes. :)

8 egg yolks + some honey from a honeycomb.
But usually I eat the yolks on their own.

Health / Re: Vitamin D source - suet/tallow?
« on: January 20, 2011, 05:05:01 am »
But what about people in the Palaeolithic era who lived in the Arctic where it is 6 months night?
Eating lots of marine mammals and fatty fish enables to meet those requirements.
But nevertheless - when the sun is high I feel the best.  :)

Excessive vitamin supplementation doesn't work.
I didn't mean supplementation.
10.000 IU is the amount of vitamin D3 that is produced daily thanks to the sun (higher than 45 degrees above the horizon). The body works the best when this requirement is met.

Health / Re: Vitamin D source - suet/tallow?
« on: January 20, 2011, 02:33:15 am »
I do think that vitamin D requirements are highly exaggerated.
I don't think so.
Lots of people do benefit when they get a sufficient amount of vitamin D. A lot of diseases are cured by that vitamin.
10.000 IU a day is the proper amount.

Health / Re: Vitamin D source - suet/tallow?
« on: January 20, 2011, 01:36:16 am »
AFAIK there isn't much vitamin D in fat of the land mammals.
Duck egg yolks are quite good, as they contain 6 time more D than chicken ones.
But my main source is Blue Ice - 2000 IU a day :)

General Discussion / Re: Non-mutant fruits and vegetables
« on: January 18, 2011, 09:22:35 pm »
Anyway it doesn't really matters.
I think the same about this issue.
I simply eat those fruits which I like and after which I feel good.
Wild berries are my number one. Unfortunately I cannot eat them throughout the whole year.  :'(

General Discussion / Re: Non-mutant fruits and vegetables

What I meant is we shouldn’t exclude food from other areas than central tropical Africa, because if we do so, we should exclude almost everything such as blackberries, ocean fish and shellfish, beef, mutton, seal, caribou, hen’s eggs, chestnuts, walnuts, hazelnuts, pine nuts, almost all vegetables and fruits. Then, only safus, African insects and larvae, gazelle, giraffe, zebra, hippopotamus and elephant meat would be real paleo food and raw paleo nutrition would be totally impracticable.
I dsagree with you.
There was different climate hundreds of thousands years ago in Africa. The temperature was 10 degrees C lower than today, on average.
So the blackberries could also be in Africa long time ago. I bet they were there  :)

Hot Topics / Re: Food combining question (quick please) :D
« on: January 18, 2011, 03:47:55 am »
It is better to eat fruit first, as fruit digests faster and if you eat the meat first the fruit may tend to sit on top of the meat and cause gas.
Very true.
It's consistent with "sequential eating"

AFAIK wild blackberries are considered one of the least altered fruits, even among wild berries.
They are practically the same as their "paleo ancestors"

I personally cannot handle any fruit or fruit juice combined with meat. It always makes my stomach very upset.
Me too.
But I think that fruit juices should be avoided generally.
