There is an increased need for carbohydrates just before and during menstruation. It's a physiological and biochemical fact.

Yeah, the fatty parts of wild boar meat are indeed awesome. I eat lots of them.

Oh and ooh that sounds bad =( if that's true then what were the Inuit eating? Was their fermented whale blubber thingy bad or a myth?
I think that it was eaten like a "supplement", so in quite small amounts.
But generally I don't think that it was healthy.
The best option is to keep fat as much dehydrated as possible, in cold and dark environment.

Now that I remember aren't you the guy that posted the pic of fermented horse fat in culinary pics? Its an interesting process, if we cant make high fats what about fermentation cause the inuit did ferment whale blubber somehow
Yeah, that's true. But it was only an experiment, not for consumption.
Technically you cannot ferment fat - that's impossible from chemical point of view. Fats get hydrolized - to glicerol and fatty acids.
They also get oxidized - the more double bonds in molecules the high susceptibility to oxidation.

definitely liver you can, not sure about the fats
fats get easily hydrolized and become rancid

Did you crack it and put it in a glass? or did you just poke a hole on the top?
I crack it and eat directly from the shell

CoQ10 is vital for healthy heart function, among other things, and there is less of it in cooked meat.
AFAIK CoQ10 is very volatile and the anihilation of that coenzyme begins above 50 degrees C.

Antibiotics are a crap.
They could be needed once in a blue moon in some really extreme situations.

I was pretty certain that real ale is not heated in any way. Well, I will double-check this with a few beer experts on another site, just in case.
Real ale - "beer brewed from traditional ingredients, matured by secondary fermentation in the container from which it is dispensed, and served without the use of extraneous carbon dioxide"
It's unfiltered and unpasteurised.
It's a natural good-quality beer such as mine was. But home-brewed bear has got a sediment of yeast at the bottom of each bottle so the beer can mature FOR MANY YEARS. So it's superior. :)
But EVERY beer is made from a boiled wort with hops. There isn't any other option.

My god, have you never heard of "real ale" which is completely raw, live beer full of live bacteria?
Every beer is heated.
I mean you've got to boil the wort with hops for about 1 hour; then you add the yeast and the fermentation begins.
8-6 years ago I was a homebrewer. I've made quite a lot of beer using only malt (from Bamberg in Germany), hops, the best yeast (american Wyeast) and water. :)

It's important not to be vitamin-C-deficient, because ascorbic acid is crucial in metabolizing the collagen.

one can still get infections.
Yeah and I consider them as something good.
Infectious diseases are a huge weapon againsts all sorts of real diseases such as cancer.
I've got ones from time to time and go through them in natural way.
People who do not get any infections are more likely to die from some serious lethal disease.

Black walnut + wormwood + cloves.
"If you use them together you will rid yourself of all these parasites. They must be used together as a single treatment. If you kill only the adults, the tiny stages and eggs will soon grow into new adults. If you kill only eggs, the million stages already loose in your body will soon grow into adults and make more eggs. So all the herbs should be used together as a single treatment."

So does edible clay also interfere with absorption of nutrients from food sources?
AFAIK that's only a problem when you combine these clays with the food.

General Discussion / Re: What do yo do with fish with visible parasites?
« on: February 19, 2011, 12:10:46 pm »
You are not a fish and you do not live in the water. We are mammals. We have our own parasites.
Bears are mammels and they eat quite a lot of fish and they are fine.
Quote
Be cautious eating raw mammal flesh especially species that are scavengers like hogs. Don't eat mammal feces or raw intestines. Or high meat.
High meat hasn't got anything to do with the parasites. Aging meat doesn't generate any of them.

I think the fact that we do not usually season our raw foods or cook them to alter them makes them so that we do not crave them as we would cooked/seasoned food and therefor we are able to discern the "stops" which keep us from overeating.
Not necessarily.
Sometimes I've got huge cravings for raw fatty wild boar meat (which have got the unique acorn-like scent) or horse meat. I can eat a lot of them. They are so delicious :)

Also, as I have heard, restricting calories does prolong life
AFAIK, IF is more efficient, without the negative side-effects of CR.

There are various types of herbs that are eaten by wild animals. They intuitively know how to combat the hostile parasites.
Why should do the same.

Freezing kills animal parasites, not bacteria though. I think a freezing of about 2 weeks should kill just about anything.
Trichinella in wild boar meat are very resistant to freezing.

Your digestion seems to be very robust. hehe.
It's robust when I follow sequential eating + non-overeating + rawpaleodiet based upon foods that agree with me. :)
