Why do your kidneys hurt, mercury?  Smoke?  What kind of toxins?  It doesn't matter.  Highmeat kidneys may help.

Whenever I swallow in my ears a sound of wax being squished is constantly heard.... In September, a naturopathic doctor examined me and commented on some sort of build up in my nasal and aural cavity and I think this may be related. I once thought that everyone heard this sound as they swallowed until I stretched out the cavities and discovered it is possible to swallow in silence.

Maybe get an osteopathic practitioner to perform some cranial sacral therapy for your head.

What color are your sclera?  Do you think you look jaundiced?  Is your skin pale? Sallow? Are your teeth yellowish?  Your palms?  The soles of your feet?  Does yellow oil come from your skin?  Does your liver hurt?  Do you make excessive ear wax?  Does your urine appear normal? Go ahead and test your bilirubin.  I'd tend to prefer to put a hot water bottle on my liver and eat raw goat butter.

My Mother was awake at my birth and I had jaundice at birth. After my birth I was moved to a phototherapy chamber shortly there after.

My Mother would have to travel a great distance from the maternity ward to where the incubators were located to breastfeed me but she did so successfully.

Did your mother tell you whether your jaundice got worse before it went away? Did anyone let you have any sunlight to treat the jaundice?  How old were you when they released you from phototherapy care?  When did the jaundice go away?  Your liver may be fine now.  There are various types of jaundice in newborns.  Some are too rare for doctors to mention, or because they willingly won't talk about it, unless you already know, and even then .. I'm wondering if you had a different kind.

Edit: Can I eat the kidneys raw without cleaning them with warm water some told me they might have bad stuff in them? anybody?

I think cold water or raw milk would be better to clean them.  Warm water may make it taste too much like urine.  Think!  Paleo times how many people had warm water every time they butchered?  I like fermented highmeat kidneys.  That takes the hard to deal with stuff away too and it comes out tasting salty somehow and works so much better (food as medicine).

RawZi, nerve problems are simply not going to get better without loads and loads of fat, particularly animal fat. Period.

Practically all he eats is butter.  We get lots of Jersey milk every two days.  He skims the fat off the top, and you know Jersey has more fat than other cows.  He makes butter and eats that three meals a day and snacks.  He has some organic fruit and honey with it.  Occasionally the cream with berries, everything raw, trust me.  He's doing better about the more fat too, as he used to use more honey with the butter and cream, but now he uses less honey.  We have a cream separator machine too.  He's very careful that the cream doesn't have milk in it.  Most of the non-fat milk part he either throws in the yard or gives me to bathe.

Warning: graphic info to follow--faint of heart should move on:

That's what happened to me the last two times I ate adrenal.

Agree with Inger and GS, eat from all the important foods and lots of good raw fats, and there are no cravings.  Otherwise, do the best you can.  Know your body, or get to know it.

Birth Defect
I'm not certain what my birth complications have to do with my present health, but my Mother told me I was born with jaundice. However, I was breastfed--which I'm very thankful for.

I know nothing about jaundice. Perhaps research into this disease might shed some light on possibilities of abnormality.

Where were you born?  At home?  In a hospital?  Was your mother awake at your birth?  Were there any medical supplies around or personnel?  Were you actually jaundice at birth, or did it start a few hours later?

What we need are harsher employment laws forcing the Chinese/Polish etc. to have decent working conditions so that no one is forced to wear nappies during work etc.

I hadn't heard about the Chinese and Polish, but I believe it.  I've seen enough in person.  I wouldn't mind seeing a link either, but I still will believe it even if there is no link.

Nerve damage - that's a tough one. Even loves bugs. Sigh. Why not eggs though? Can you get a few chickens without a rooster so that the eggs would never hatch any way and he can treat the chickens really well and eat those eggs? It's gotta be better than not having any source of really good fats for his nervous system I would think. I know it might seem silly to raise inferior eggs to those great fertile eggs you get - but if it's a way to get him to eat them.... Is he an teenager now? He could then handle the responsibility probably.

Yes, especially when it's major nerves, peripheral, central etc etc.  He thinks eggs are disgusting to eat.  I'll mention the non-rooster tonight.  He is having butter and cream, but I feel the eggs would help him get more out of the dairy-fat. I  would consider infertile eggs as you describe if it would help him, and I think it would enough.  He will want to spend a lot of time with the animals, but need help too, and he's very sick.

I've been reading a bit about the nervous system and oat straw tincture is supposed to be an excellent tonic herb for the nerves and quite restorative and it's completely vegan for him. I have some "brewing" now which is ready to be strained and can't wait to try some with hubbie (and I figure it wouldn't hurt to give some to me these days either!)

We've tried oat-sraw before.  I can bring it up again.  Enjoy yours, it sounds fun :)

I'll look up dip wick. Thanks. I'd love to have some home-made candles!

There's a pic here of a woman dipping the wicks in tallow, the old way http://candleandsoap.about.com/od/typesofcandles/g/gldippedcandles.htm

Can you really make a candle out of fat like that? Doesn't it need beeswax or something to keep it's form and not have it immediately melt? I've never made a candle in my life. I guess I would have to google that too!  ;D

People used to dip a wick over and over in beef fat.  I've done it.

Ah yes - the internal bleeding that you mentioned. You told me that one has to have fat with fish - but never went into this more with me re hubbie - would you please? I'll make sure that every fish sauce has raw egg yolk and every single piece of sashimi has avocado (which we often do because so yummy - but not always).

I feel best when I eat about 80% or more fat calories to each 20%  or less starch or rather protein calories, of course the protein being flesh or egg-white and raw.  So figure out approx how much protein to fat the fish has, and add fat accordingly, if it works for you.  Fish oils clean us us, no?  Terrestial animal fats nourish us, fuel us differently, and allow us to get strong and repair so that if we go into detox (a cold etc) we are very strong to withstand it.

Does he refuse to eat meat because he loves animals? Have you tried eggs with him yet? -- I know you get those wonderful eggs from the carnivore chickens! How old is he now Zi? I remember your story from way back how sick he was being a vegetarian and how a big part of the reason you moved back to eating animal foods was to save his life. I for some reason thought that was all over with him.

Yes, he loves animals dearly.  He refuses eggs.  He toyed with the idea of quail eggs.  He says no though.  Yes, we can even get with full blooms now, and they're real chickens, they eat anything they want, lots of bugs, grass, sour milk etc.  He's older.  Yes, no kind of vegetarianism (raw, cooked, whole, macro, ayurvedic, five phase) was enough to prevent his deterioration.  So after a few years I started opening my food possibilities to grass-fed raw never been frozen nor dried animal and wild-caught raw ditto fish. No, he got past vegan and added milk and colostrum and products he makes from them from animals he knows and feels right about, and unheated honey and cut out everything else but organic raw fruit and vegetables (lettuce).  He was cheating with some cooked vegan occasionally at first, but then realized he feels best so far without any cooked, and now plans never to touch cooked again.  I guess he might try a roasted nut once in a year or something like that (perhaps less often etc).    He's incredibly sick, very strange situation, it's not something that just gets over with..

I wonder if he would be willing to eat bugs from his "ethical" standpoint or if he would be grossed out by that. I keep on thinking that I might try some cooked bugs to start myself out on with it. Does he eat all raw or does he eat cooked foods too? In what ways is he still sick?

He might in the future, raw.  He loves bugs too, finds them to be fantastic creations/beings.  He may eat them after raising enough generations or in the woods, some way he knows they are clean from any crazy man made food.  It's his actual nerves.  Over time extended to other parts.

He eats/drinks 100% raw diet and does not imbibe at all in smoking, burning incense nor candles.  That's all here, as this is Tooterbelle's thread.  I'll try to find your one about hubbie.

Gonna make me work are ya? Dam - it's cooked fat - when I come to think about it I really should just chuck it.

Make a candle?  I'm not sure how well waxy cholesterol could decompose into compost.  Fats are the best burning material I think.

How did you know the difference between sucking on a nipple and sucking on a bottle?  ;D

I had to breastfeed 3 or 4 babies.  Also calves have sucked on my hands and feet.  The tongue squishes the udder or nipple against the roof of the mouth.  With a bottle suck with lips, and squirt larger amount down throat.  Breastfeeding instead it bathes the mouth, and comes out the slowest usually.  With the lips it's yummmm, with the tongue squishing to roof of mouth it's Lalalala.

...Besides, sucking on the rim of a glass was tiresome and uncomfortable. Sucking on a nipple is so comforting! I feel like I'm re-living my childhood!   ;D

No one in my lineage used a plastic, rubber or polyurethane nipple.  I guess if I shall ever get nostalgic about nursing, I'll have to find a woman.  I think sniffing an armpit should be enough though.  I was nursed.  Olfactory stuff sticks with me more I think.

Zeno, is that bottle made of glass?  Plastics, well,  not as paleo lol.  Sucking from a woman's areola/nipple or an animal teat, the head would be in a different position than from a regular bottle.  Also, a breast doesn't get air in it, as many bottles do.  It could make a difference, not to mention a regular bottle you make an mmmm suck, while with teat or areola/nipple you make a LLLLL suck.  Maybe you'll check additional nipples/bottles out http://pregnancy.about.com/od/babyproducts/tp/tpbottles.htm I haven't myself, I just drink my milk slow, when I drink it.

Is your son ok with aloe?  It's good for so much, but about 5% of people have terrible allergy to it.

I had thought that this group seemed a bit kinder and gentler than the raw groups, but alas, looks like none of you are ever going to see a picture of me either!

I saw a picture of you on GI2MR, hair, clothes etc, not face I think.  Eventually Dhru either stopped banning my IP or it's because I moved.

I was concerned when I made a comment here about the side by side photo that I'd look bad for saying anything, but .. I'm stating some of what I've been through.

Over on GI2MR, unlike other basically vegan raw online communities I was and am still in under same name RawZi all along, there were some cruel people.  Some thin beautiful models pictures were posted, but non-raw vegan, so there was tearing apart by posters looking for one drop of cellulite so they could insist whatever woman should be raw vegan fruitarian etc or just plain feel guilty lol.

I didn't mind DurianRider calling me a sumo wrestler.  Number one, I have been a creative and performing artist, and constructive criticism or what we accept as such can help, nothing hurts if able to take it right.  Plus I'm far from a Sumo, although lol I'd like to try wrestling now.  At that time I was so in synch and really looking great, firm, trim, shapely etc, but still I wouldn't post my picture; because I don't need any group or anyone to pick on my looks.  I've been around long enough, even pretty old people can be immature and never stop saying "too fat" "too skinny" etc etc.  They have their own self image problems, and I don't need their words to describe me after they see my picture.  I like better when they see me in person and hug me and tell me I smell good and say they wish they had my eating history cause I look great etc, and I have beeeeen through lots of parts of many levels of hell.

I gave an incredible amount to many on that forum, and many wanted me back, but some were just so repeatedly non-stop cruel, I have a limit.  Sigh, that's all for now.

Yes, I know all too well what it's like not to sleep for years helping loved ones (or not to sleep for years due to other stresses or to be through incredible things only one in a trillion could accept live through etc).  I'm glad you could bring it up here.  I hope you are feeling better.  There is some good, even after loved ones are gone, it's worth it, that they knew you were there for them through the worst times.  Also learn things, the bonds, you will still experience beautiful things from it for years.

Hey, gray hair isn't ugly.  It can obviously have someone appear older, but it doesn't have to detract from natural beauty.  I think we all know you are beautiful, even if we have no idea what you look like.

I for one cannot eat the bone stock I made. I broke out (haven't done that in ages) and felt sick both times I tried it.

Do you have a link for which recipe you used?  Were the bones fresh? Frozen?  Did you add anything?  What kind of animal was it from?  What was its feed?

I have tried others stock, like US Wellness, one tiny taste and I poured it out.  It wasn't rotten, it just didn't taste like food or worth eating, and of course it was expensive.  I tried with various pastured bones.  Seems I can deal occasionally if it's from grass-fed red meated animals (lamb bone, bison bone, beef bone), I only get a lot of inflammation, but no really bad effects.  Bones from white meat, body can't tolerate it, my nose can't even.

I then placed around him 3 chopped raw onions and 6 crushed garlic cloves.

If I can't bathe him or spray him, but I can have a room smell of garlic and white onions.

I think you're on to healing now.  I'm just glad it's not me with eczema or its treatment, I can't stand sulfuric vegetable in the air.  My eyes would be beyond terrible.

20, male. nah, he doesn't eat rpd at all haha. I wake up multiple times during the night. Usually fall asleep ok.
...

thanks for the suggestions guys

Air dried sausage could have tyramine.  Are you around?  Sleeping better?  I find (raw) red meats (salmon/beef) more up, and (raw) white meats (pork/chicken/scallops) more calming.

Are you sleeping a short time but refreshed?  Or exhausted?  When I don't eat carbs or dairy (yes getting enough fats), I sleep less hours each night, but more deeply yet very well.

Nuts alone or too often can make insomnia or bad dreams.  Making it into nut formula shortly before bed and eating it a little less often can help keep you well and asleep at night.

Sorry I never got back to this thread before.  I don't often follow a thread.

yeah I only eat high meat in the mornings, I usually have fish and olive oil for dinner or something.

Maybe it was the salmon oil dinner.  Heavier fats work better at sleep-time for me, not fish or olive oil.  EVOO just makes me uncomfortable in temperature and throat.

349

It was funny when I was on GI2MR.  All the fruitarians on one longer than ever thread kept making fun of how awfully fat Nigella is.  I found Gillian online before too, and noticed how much older she looks than stated age, yet professes all those healthy vegetables.  I wish everyone would be healthy, and then no reason to be concerned about what someone else has for food.  But yes, any kind of vegetarianism is a transition diet, even if it takes thirty years.  RAFDs are life diets.

I tried some raw corn with raw milk.  Not a good mix.  Didn't make me sick (or detox), but it tasted like cow flavored corn.  Count me out lol.
