Off Topic / Re: Nudism
« on: July 17, 2008, 12:22:59 am »
This is my opinion on this topic.... :)

Humans have first used cloths for one main purpose, for its effectiveness in harsh external enviroments. Then later humans have made and designed clothing for culture or traditional reasons. Many humans now are turned on by the meer sight of human genetles, buttocks, or breast. It is not like this everywhere, but this cultural idea is spreading and has dominated human minds. I however dislike this cultural perception. I believe if its warm enough to be naked, be naked. If its cold, wear cloths. I simply use cloths for its effectiveness and nothing more. Some cultural uses of cloths have lead to the seperation of mankind. People reside in certain cultural groups and dislike other groups, and each group represents itself wth the kind of cloths they wear. Such thoughts and practices are foolish in my opinion and limitate human beings. Cloths are cloths, use them for their effectiveness. The cloths we wear over our bodies are now forbidden or not allowed to be taken off in public. If you don't comply or follow the rules you will be punished or acted apon in a manner you might not like. (nudist colonies are exceptions and tribal areas too). I know most people want to wear cloths when their bodies are feeling cold, but when your body is feeling hot; Why wear cloths? A body is just a body, a penis is just a penis, and a virgina is just a virgina etc. I dislike the inforcement of cloth wearing that occurs in some areas on earth. I dislike how some are turned on sexually by mear body parts and care less how the individual is mentally. I once followed and was blinded by these what I now currently call supressive cultures or beliefs of some humans. They are stupid (i dislike them).

General Discussion / Re: Tomatoes Harmful?
« on: July 17, 2008, 12:17:15 am »
Perhaps it is because tomatoes are nightshades like peppers, eggplant (aubergine) and others.  They can cause health problems in some people.  Here's some info on them:

http://www.whfoods.com/genpage.php?tname=george&dbid=62
do you still eat nightshade foods?

I used to eat insects when i was a kid.

I've wondered whether it would be possible to be self sufficient by farming you own insects eg snail farm in a first world famine. Would there be enough fat? What would you do to survive?
I ate a grass hopper the other day. I liked how it tasted, but it was a new taste for me.

some things to watch out for..

List of some edible Insects..                           Brightly colored insects, stinging insects, hairy insects

grasshoppers
locusts

General Discussion / Re: Raw Chicken
« on: July 14, 2008, 11:40:18 pm »
The raw organic chicken I get from my supplier tastes great.  Tough skin though.
I get salt to rub out the slimy coating off the muscle first.
Then wash.

I'll try your technique.

General Discussion / Re: Raw Meats: Are some harmful?

If a food is harmful raw, cooking does not make it any better.  Your condiments are just fooling your taste buds.
A True food is edible raw.

I agree.

Any body here know of a reliable safe source of insects?

I'm waiting for mid august. Sworms of grass hoppers gather. I'm going out there with a net!  ;D

My favourite organ is probably raw grassfed beef/ox-tongue. My favourite overall meat is wild hare carcass.
I would like to try hare.

I loathe the taste of raw chicken, even after years of going rawpalaeo, I far prefer things like raw turkey or raw goose, or better still wild mallard duck.
i'll keep that in mind.  ;)

Once they get out into the savanna though, they become more carnivorous - much as early humans had to.

Craig
I seen a video where they also hunted in the forest. They had organized positions to hunt. Some where the blockers, others, were the go getters. It was really interesting. They killed the monkey they caught by hand. They ate just about everything, I think even the eyeballs.

1 or 2 for me. I was trying to follow "The Warrior Diet" before that calls for one large meal in the evening with light snacking allowed during the day.
I'm going to try the warrior diet meal plan.

They eat a raw omnivorous diet. Meat, nuts, fruit, etc. Anybody study chimps?  I once watched a video where scientist rewarded them with m&ms. That's horrible..... :(

Sea animals may poop in the ocean but over a very widespread area. When masses of humans all poop and piss in   the same area of the coast then that's appalling(especially as such areas of mass bathing generally have a multitude of hotels which spew their sewage so as to help pollute the local waters).
Were not suggesting the masses do it my friend... ;)

Exercise / Bodybuilding / Re: fighting is paleo
« on: July 08, 2008, 12:25:16 am »
What is it that attracts martial artists to a RAF diet? I'd think the opposite - that they'd be attracted to veganism. Is it the desire to excel and find the "optimal" diet?

Craig
I wanted the ultimate fuel for my workouts.  I was a vegan and then switched to a raw vegan, neither of the two gave me the energy I wanted. I found out about the paleo diet, and immediatly switched.  I have more energy and my body is much more efficient than before. I sure am glad I found out about the paleo diet when I'm young.  My diet is currently mostly raw meats, greens, roots, berries, some fruits.  I got into  veganism because I had a teacher at my school who was one.  Last time I seen him, he said he started doing a low fat diet.  Only if he knew. :-\

I'm missing out on berries.
I live in a tropical country and berries aren't common here.

Yellow mangoes are popular summer fruits in the Philippines.
is mango considered a stone fruit?
