General Discussion / Grain Fed Causing Acne?
« on: January 09, 2009, 06:45:49 am »
Hey all. So I've added in crap loads of fruit and my stomach and liver issues seem to be resolving, thankfully. However another problem started a week or so back in which I've been getting really hot, dry, burning skin on my face, upper back and neck. Acne is coming up as a result of it but I'm questioning whether my skin inflammation is typical acne or an allergic reaction. The last two weeks I was eating a crap load of grain fed beef. I was wondering if it's possible this could cause me to have an allergic reaction? My face literally feels like it's on fire at times, which is not the typical acne I'm used too it feels like it's on its way back to the way it was when I was in high school. I'm not necessarily worried, I mean if it gets bad enough I'm fasting no question about it. Any one have any experience with this? I stopped eating grain fed yesterday.

Please don't say it's the fruit it's obviously not the fruit I was eating 3000 calories of fruit a day for 2 months and my acne was almost gone.

General Discussion / Grass Fed Suet Toronto,Canada
« on: December 18, 2008, 05:24:32 am »
Hey all, the suet I've been eating has been grain fed. Any Canadians know where I can order grass fed suet from? Cant get it from the states, none of them will ship it to me. None of the ones I talked too at least.

General Discussion / Liver Issues, Fat, Protein, Ammonia?
« on: December 13, 2008, 05:18:07 am »
For the longest time I've suspected I've had liver issues. So I got a question, say I do have liver detoxification problems ext ext. Is animal protein going to help me or make me worse? Would high fat be better? Any one have any documentation or experience with this issue?

General Discussion / Tips On Moving Away From Fruit
« on: December 09, 2008, 10:05:27 am »
Okay so I have another problem, fruit. I love fruit, but I can't control my self with it. It's like I know, one peace of fruit a day would be just fine, but I always end up eating like 4 or 5 peaces. Then I end up spiking my blood sugar ext ext, and I'm back to square one. Honey is the same thing it spikes my blood sugar, so I'm thinking I just should avoid sugar for the time being. The problem is, the further I get away from sugars, the more insane my panic attacks become. I've only made it 28 hours away from sugars so far. Does any one have any experience with this? I don't believe we as humans should avoid fruit, I also don't believe we should avoid greens I think ditching them permanently is a bad move. However; at the present time I think it's not what my body needs. So how long does the "sugar" detox last? lol.

General Discussion / Those With Acne or Who Had Acne
« on: December 06, 2008, 04:34:55 am »
So I'm starting to break out a bit again, which I expected to happen changing my diet. I'm also not taking a number 2 as often. Once a day or once every other day. So my question is, how do I get rid of the acne in the raw animal food diets and get my digestive system moving smoothly? What foods should I avoid and what foods should I indulge in? I know we're all different, but for those who have had success with acne let me ,know your tricks! So far I've been going at the fish, honey and eggs. I've also had other random things like cheese, sauerkraut, figs, apples, oranges. I seem to be craving carbs BIG time. Like...BIIIIG time. lol. Lots of fruits seem to keep my digestive system moving, but I'm trying to get my body utilizing fats as energy instead of straight carbs.

Journals / Dameon Wolf's Journal
« on: December 02, 2008, 07:30:21 am »
I figured I might as well start a mini journal while I have the energy. I will be starting a blog but for now I'll just document my journey.

I had eggs over the weekend, but for lunch I had salmon and tuna sushimi!  :) My body seems to have really enjoyed it. After the doctors told there was nothing obviously wrong from the ultra sound, I thought I might as well push forward. The sushimi was obviously frozen, and lacking in some real good taste. Now I want to make my own! I'm gonna go get some fresh salmon and tuna from the fish market tomorrow. I figure if my body does okay on a few weeks of fish, beef jerkey will be my next experiment! The fat from the fish was OBVIOUSLY interpreted way different than raw vegan fats. I can't explain it, but my body actually felt less offended by the fish than like nuts or oils. My raw vegan days are now officially over. :)

So I've had gallstones for a little while, and I it seems the raw eggs just got them going. I know how to liver flush so I'm not concerned in dealing with them temporarily. However; there seems to be endless documentation on how saturated fats cause gallstones. What do you guys think about this?

General Discussion / I began last night.
« on: November 30, 2008, 01:06:45 am »
Yup, I began transitioning last night. Lately I've been eating fatty nut/oil raw vegan foods and have been feeling terrible. So much nausea and noise in my head(yeah, I got major neurological issues). Today is my 20th birthday, I was hoping too take it easy but my sister wants to make dinner. So I'll try and make some thing light for my self. I had a single raw egg last night, which gave me a little bit of gastritis but no big deal. I was assuming it would take some adapting for my body. This morning I had 2 more eggs, and then within an hour for some reason I was back to sleep, lol. Gonna take a few days before I try some salmon/tuna sashimi.

My buddy asked me how the eggs were. I'm like, "...their raw eggs...what else can I say about them." lol.

lol, I meditated on that theory that high sex drive was a strong indicator that the body is in danger and must procreate. Which in many circumstances is true...however; in nature it would appear that our closet relatives(the banobo monkeys) %#!@ like jack rabbits. They $%#@ so much, that their version of warfare is sex. LMAO. So my question is, assuming the Banobo's are truley living naturally, are they in trouble of dieing off or is sex drive a good thing? ;)

Omnivorous Raw Paleo Diet / Nuts VS Meats
« on: November 23, 2008, 05:56:08 am »
So as a raw vegan I've always had a painful time digesting nuts. My concern is that I'll have the same trouble with raw meat, ext. Is there much of a difference fat wise between the two? Does any one else have trouble getting nuts down?

Welcoming Committee / Raw Vegan to Raw Every Thing
« on: November 23, 2008, 12:01:50 am »
Hey all, so I've been raw for around 7 months but like most I was sucked into the raw vegan movement. I didn't become a raw vegan for ethical reasons, strictly for health issues. I'm just turning 20, and for the last 3 years I've suffered from crazy random bouts of bad health. Included symptoms:

Headaches
Lower Abdominal Pain
Upper Right Abdominal Pain
Lower Back Pain
Upper Back Pain
Acid Reflux
Heart Burn
Stiff Necks
Swollen Lymph Glands
Floaters in Eyes
Neurological Double Vision
Constipation
Pale Skin
Major Anxiety Emotion Issues
Obstructed Bile Flow
Dizzyness/Vertigo
Congested Sinus's
Temporary Bouts of Jaundice
Black Circles Under Eyes
Freezing Hands and Feet
Appendicitis
Severe Mental Disturbances, Confusion, Rage, Tunnel Vision, Speech Difficulties

Going raw helped A LOT of these problems at first. Then they began to return for some reason. I cant even make a solid statement into what I think is going on with me any more. I'm getting to the point where I feel my body is ready to begin major repairs but it just feels like it doesn't have the tools for that. I started off high fat raw vegan, and there is some thing about the raw fats us raw vegans consume that is really...off. All the nuts and oils actually caused me to have stiff necks, head aches, confusion. I noticed when I went to a raw vegan potluck, a lot of the raw vegans had these strange blank confused looks in their eyes. And many of them including my self at times seem to make very unquardinated conversation. Maybe it's just me but some thing was very off about every thing.

But many of you may not realize that there is in fact a huge split happening among the raw vegan community. You see Dr Doug Graham's book 80/10/10 has managed to sink in and it's become the low fat bible of so many failing raw vegans. I'm sure some of you have witnessed Durianrider running his big mouth on you tube, he is also preaching what Doug Graham started. His theories goes as following, get 80 percent of your calories from carbs, 10 percent from fats and 10 percent from proteins. Literally you're supposed to eat any where between 2000 and 4000 calories of fruit a day. It seems to be working great for some, but not me like was promised.

Any way, enough ranting I'm here because my mind is open and I'm looking for true healing of my body. Personally, I don't want to be skinny like durianrider, it DOESN'T FEEL NORMAL to have such a low weight. I'm 19 years old and 119lbs at 5'8. Granted, I'm still strong I still work out and my muscles seem to be alright. But I want to be my normal weight again, 140lbs made me VERY comfortable. I figure animal foods and exercise will be able to help me with that, I hope any way. By the way I'm not basing the raw vegans high fat or low fat, for some it obviously works great for. I don't think my body is formatted that way. I do love fruits though, lol.

So, hello every one! I'm Dameon! ^_^
