I tried some tongue today. I loved the texture of it. Fatty and satisfying ;D.

Speaking of raw horse, I'm curious, Tyler--are you going to eat raw horsemeat again after your tapeworm experience?

I've eaten about 150 lbs of horse meat for 2 years now and I've never had any issue with it.
So I think that the chance to get a tapeworm is very small.

Yes, extremely small, but only if the horse has not been fed with heated industrial food, cereals or whatever shit. I've eaten raw grass fed or wild Australian horse meat for more than 15 years, at least once a week in average and never had any problem. But I would not be surprised to get tapeworm from the meat of a horse (or beef) fed with hot dried grain for example.

Naturally. It wasn't a big deal, as it was such a rare event.

I ate some liver and flesh from those wild boar pieces. I'll choose a few plant foods a bit latter.

On the last pic, up, from left to right:
Deglet nour dates, soaked peas (the yellow stuff), chestnuts, almonds.
Middle:
Hazelnuts, dried figs, a fruit platter (with kiwis, persimmons, apples, pears), walnuts, a half coconut.
Down:
Bahri dates, leeches, a teak wood piece to break the macadamia nuts with the hammer, oranges, mandarins and bananas, macadamia nuts.

On the post with the meat, the unidentifiable stuff is seaweeds. The vegetables are cauliflower, carrots, fennel, celeriac, red pepper, broccoli, tomatoes. Needless to say, I didn’t eat all that for my dinner! Yes, the liver is delicious. The meat is still a bit too fresh for me.

Yes, my main meal is in the evening. When I was working outside, I just brought with me one kind only of fruits for my lunch. No breakfast.

I don’t have the slightest idea how much carbs and even calories I eat and I don’t give a damn about it...

cool, thanks iguana.

i just walked hiked around today foraging. found some chickweed, wood sorrel, and henbit. the chickweed and wood sorrel were delicious! wood sorrel is really sour and pleasant. also found some turk's cap apples and some rose hips that i ate. found a load of pecans too but am saving them for later. it's amazing how much free food there is even in the winter when you know what to look for

deer spleen, i'm usually not really picky when it comes to taste but this spleen thing is not for the weak.  it definitely will take some time to get used to.

it looks almost black on the inside, like one big blood clot.

I ate some raw buffalo fat, spleen, fermented cabbage, and avocado for dinner.

I liked the spleen. It sort of tastes like fresh sea urchin to me. XD It is very slimy so I found it hard to cut into smaller segments. Maybe my knife is really dull.

it is very easy to cut when it is partially frozen, like semi-solid.

I just got about a quarter calf on the table and Ive been picking at it. It taste kind of like lamb, Its different from any beef I have had yet, its almost got a game taste to is but its hard to describe. My butcher is a charity worker and he gave me a great deal.

I got some tripe today. It was in the raw meat section of Morrisons; it said on the packet that it was 100% tripe; and that it was prepared using only traditional methods.

I had assumed that it would only have been flushed thoroughly with water, and that it would be uncooked, but I'm not sure now after reading some comments about tripe on the internet.

Oh for fuck sake. Apparently you can only get tripe that's been BLEACHED, and PRE-BOILED... WHAT THE FUCK!? JESUS CHRIST I've been fucking poisoned wtf??? BLEACH ON FOOD!? COOKED MEAT IN THE RAW SECTION WTF!?

CUNTS!

Could I sue them? That'd be awesome.

Well, we recommend avoiding supermarkets precisely because of such dubious practices.

I had half a kilo of raw wild boar today plus some tomatoes.
