Yes it was very good.  The whole family was raving about the cooked chicken too.  My wife had the cooked blood to herself.  My mother in law was looking for the cooked liver, but I had the liver raw and she didn't want to eat it raw.  My wife also got curious and had 2 unlaid egg yolks which tasted much like regular egg yolks but you had to bite through a thin rubbery membrane.

How many of you are happy being obsessed? I could  :'( about this kind of life!

After being really sick, after trying raw vegan, after trying raw fruitarian, after trying cooked meats high fat (homo optimus diet), raw paleo diet makes me happy.

In fact, I've never felt healthier and happier with the results I'm getting! And it is sooo comfortable... you know... simple, no complications, best health so far...

I do not quite see why you are sad, Nicola.  Maybe you could explain in another thread?

---

On topic, I have yet to travel.  By december 12, my family and I will be on vacation in Palawan in an organic farm.  Maybe I can live on raw fruits... i'm an omnivore... the raw animal foods, maybe I can get some fertilized eggs there... maybe some ocean fish... maybe goats?... we will see...

Sorry the link wasn't working.  I had the publishing set delayed for december 03.
I adjusted it to today.

http://www.myhealthblog.org/2008/12/01/how-we-slaughter-an-organic-native-chicken-step-by-step-with-pictures/

Thanks for the compliment, I think we are able to slaughter our own chickens because our maids are provincial folk who grew up slaughtering their own chickens.  The ducks will be next.  I'll have my cousin slaughter the ducks.  I'll go to the goat shop next and document how they slaughter goats.

7354
I will show in pictures our cook and my mother in law’s cook slaughter an organic chicken.  Last Sunday we were out in Carmona Cavite and beside the highway they were selling native chickens.  Great opportunity!  My cook and I were just talking about how we wanted to be sure about the chickens we were eating were healthy so it would be best to buy live chickens so we can assess their state of health and slaughter the chickens ourselves so we can also be sure about the cleanliness of the method.

This breakfast I had the usual coconut juice and coconut meat.
Also had some 2 slices of pico mango.
Also a big piece of papaya we bought yesterday from the province of Cavite.
Then at the end the raw pili nuts came in.
Here is a picture of the handful of pili nuts I ate.
Also a picture if the our hard working maids cracking open the pili nuts for us.

The 3rd picture is what we are having for lunch.
Yesterday in the province I bought a 2 kilo native organic strong female chicken for 380 pesos.  Not cheap.
My mother in law wants chicken cooked "binakol" style.  I have reserved the whole chicken breast raw for myself.
It is a good trade because when cooked, chicken breast is dry and unappetizing, but when raw, chicken breast is tender and juicy.
I also must remember to reserve the chicken liver for myself.

I personally have done 20+ liver flushes.  Cheap and easy.  So if I were you I'd just do my liver flushes and get rid of all the liver stones / gall stones. For the benefit of those who do not know what liver flushing is: http://www.curemanual.com/detox-protocols/liver-flush

There is a liver flush protocol using eggs.  You might want to try it instead of extra virgin olive oil.

I think sometimes we have to step back and see it from the cooked meat eater's point of view.

As long as the meat is RAW, our bodies can do with it as it pleases.

But when the meat is COOKED, human bodies need lots of fat and or carbs as a larger proportion than the cooked meat which tends to putrefy in their guts.

I just discovered an old pocket book circa 1965 and it is so amazing this MD already has summarized what we are talking about here in raw paleo and holistic health: "Food is your best medicine" by Henry G. Bieler MD

Yes, it would.
The paleolithic campers would then seize the would-be predator with cries of glee, skin it and make babies on its soft furry hide.

Why do so many think our ancestors were wimps, when we know that they were bigger stronger quicker and IMHO  smarter than us, and they had sticks. Sharp ones.

So that's a reason for cooking - to make meat strong-smelling enough for bait. Bait works. My neighbours still use it to get the annual deer.
I have seen polar bears walk past a dead goose for days, until one day the smell of rotten goose was strong enough, then it was noticed and eaten.

Then there's the story of the modern hunter in southern Africa who was attacked by a mated pair of leopards. He grabbed one by the hind leg, and beat both to death by using it as a club.

Check on berserker strength, psychologists call it hysterical strength, we really can be as strong as any ape when required.

This is an awesome insight!  ;D

I discover and try for the first time raw ocean shrimp and raw ocean clams.

Saturday market day and today was a time for discovery.  With my trusty cook we went to Farmer’s Market in Cubao and bought many new things for me to taste.  This time I had clams in mind… the halaan variety.  Then we chanced upon ocean caught shrimps.

The nice lady vendor said that her clams were already dipped in salty water so they are now clean.  They have expunged their sand.  They are ready to eat.  I asked where they came from, she said this batch came from the ocean waters at Bataan province.  The other kind of clams came from ocean waters of Bicol.  That’s comforting to hear because I don’t trust Cavite waters.

I asked for a taste of the clams.  I thought she was going to get a knife to open one up.  Instead she just took one clam and smashed its shell in a corner of her stall.  I was surprised it was that easy.  And she gave me the smashed shell to eat.  It was pretty obvious that my cook and this lady vendor are used to eating raw clams.  And to my surprise these clams were tasty and slightly sweet.  For those who still cook, there is absolutely no need to cook these babies.  Now I realize those theories about humans may have evolved and thrived near the sea.  With abundant small fish and shellfish, you have an easy and delicious life.  Picking up a clam and smashing it on a stone is so easy a 4 year old child can do it.

Among the many other things we bought I chanced upon ocean caught shrimps. Maybe 6 inches long curved. If you remove the head it is just 4 inches long.  At home I first had a bowl with some natural coconut vinegar to dip the shrimps in.  I tasted the shrimps first and it tasted heavenly plain.  I returned the vinegar to its bottle.  I greedily ate all the shrimps without dipping them in vinegar.

After the shrimps I ate my freshly killed organic yellow never frozen raw bone marrow and raw sirloin.  Then I had dipped in vinegar some tiny ocean shrimp called alamang.  And to cap off lunch I chomped on some sea weed, lato variety, some small and some bigger bubbles.

We put the clams in water.  They are still alive.  Waiting to be eaten at dinner time.

I think I pointed out in my www.fertilityhelp.net website that vegetarianism is associated with infertility.  Not enough materials to make babies with.

The enlightened people shun reproductive activity.

Hi RawZi,

I tried raw vegan for 2 months. (that was enough for me, unsustainable)
I also tried raw fruitarian for 2 months. (that was enough for me, unsustainable)
I've been on RPD for 11 months and I'm so happy, comfortable and healthy with it.

Post a picture of yourself.  Are you Masai like your icon?

Is "Give it to me raw" a vegan only social network?

Health / Re: Heart Palpitations
« on: November 27, 2008, 07:54:09 pm »
Before I started this diet, I believe I had low blood pressure... when I would stand up after lying/sitting down for a long time, I would get EXTREMELY light-headed and my vision would get covered up with grey spots. That hasn't happened since I changed my diet to what it's like now though. But these palpitations have got me kinda worried. In my search of this forum, I see Craig said he's had issues with this, and that it could be related to sodium? I don't think I have a sodium deficiency....

This is exactly how I felt when I did fruitarian.

Ever since I began eating such high amounts of meat I've started getting heart palpitations.
It's kind of scary, but doesn't seem to affect anything else.
In fact, it seems strange that the palpitations do not occur when I'm exercising.
I think it normally happens upon standing up from sitting down. My heart beat gets noticable stronger and faster. Sometimes its accompanied by a "strange" feeling, but the vast majority its not.

I can't help but be worried that its caused by eating so much fat... saturated fat especially. While I know saturated fat isn't the great evil some people would have people believe, too much can't be good right? I eat 3 lbs of fatty meat most days, is this just too much?

I experienced the same heart palpitations / pain you felt when I added raw land animals to my former wai diet of just eggs and fish.

I read Hulda Clark's book again and she suspected worms. http://www.curemanual.com/mind-cures-paradigm-shifts/book-cure-for-all-diseases

So I got my barefoot herbalist dewormer and took a single dose at night... that calmed down the heart worms.  So in my case I suspect it was worms because the dewormer got rid of my heart pain.  You can order the dewormer from http://www.barefootherbalistmh.com

I think the time I took that dewormer dose was April or May?  The pain / palpitations have not recurred.

General Discussion / Re: Problems eating frozen meat?
« on: November 27, 2008, 12:09:21 am »
The frozen meat I get is from dressed organic chickens...
But sometimes I get live chickens and our cook dresses them for me.
Other meats like beef, goat I get are fresh.
I suspect the big fish like tuna and blue marlin are blast frozen at the port where they were caught.

I have compared frozen sirloin beef with fresh and I can say that I like defrosted beef sirloin a lot more than fresh beef sirloin that has been in the refrigerator for 4 days.

How do I acquire fresh meat?  I'm lucky to live in an area where I live there are two big enough wet markets and several fresh goat slaughter on the spot places.  Sometimes living in the big city has its advantages.

If I have to move houses next time I would choose to live very near the big wet market.  No need for a refrigerator then.

Ocean crabs are always sold dead.

then I went to market and tasted some raw beef and tasted 2 kinds of small fish.

I got home and tasted the korean kimchi I bought and a small amount of small fish (dilis) in the new fermented cane vinegar I'm trying out.

See this news report http://www.naturalnews.com/024887.html

I am fuming angry at such unqualified statements regarding this idiotic study.
The writers should be reprimanded that the study refers to COOKED MEAT.
Also the study should qualify how much ratio of fat is in the diet.

Mike Adams needs to be converted to the truth about raw food.  That raw meat is needed.
Mike Adams needs to learn that eating cooked meat is as idiotic as Mike Adams eating cooked fruit and cooked vegetable ALL THE TIME 100%.

These blind vegans and blind vegetarians must be fed a 100% cooked fruit, cooked nut and cooked vegetable diet and see HOW TERRIBLE they would feel just the same.

I read Mike Adams myself but I matured to see the folly in VEGANISM... in shunning meat.

We can write our displeasure at this article and you can also flood Mike Adams your displeasure in his contact Natural News page at http://www.naturalnews.com/Feedback.html

Thanks but could you guys also post your daily meal plan for at least a day? (including how much you eat of each thing)

Tyler is right about the instinct thing.  Adjust as you go along.

Me, I'm a small guy 5' 5" and 123 lbs. And I live in Manila, Philippines.  So we have different things. I'm a computer geek / website developer, so I'm mostly sedentary, unless on weekends I run around with the kids in the community track.

Mornings:
Usually coconut juice and coconut meat (coconut meat is fat) (around 1 coconut)
plus a fruit in season: papaya / chico / mango
plus 2 or 3 fertilized eggs if there is any around.

I usually wait after an hour then I poop.

Mid morning snack only if I get hungry, either a piece of fruit, nuts or another coconut.

Lunch time:
1 pound of meat thereabouts... beef, or goat or fish... I try to see I have adequate fat.

Mid afternoon snack only if I get hungry, either a piece of fruit, nuts or another coconut.

Dinner:
Usually less than what I had for lunch.  Sometimes I pig out at lunch and skip dinner.

I'm very conscious about making sure I eat what makes me poop regularly at least once per day.  Carry over of teachings from Barefoot Herbalist MH.  What makes me poop is fruit and fat.

I also do not drink water.  I think coconuts and fruits are better hydrating sources than any water out there.

In no way do I recommend what I do right now.  I do not think I am "there" yet to tell you this is correct.  I've only been on raw paleo for 11 months.

yet the generally positive esteem in which Aajonus is blindly held (yes, blindly, because even if most of us would agree that the health regiment he prescribes is fairly likely to produce positive results compared with the SAD, none of us can claim to know that his heart is where it should be, nor that he isn't just making up all of his wild theories about heavy metel detox etc.) frankly bothers me.

You jumped to the wrong conclusion here.
Aajonus' teachings nor any "guru" teaching is NOT blindly held in this forum.
Most people are self-experimentors and come to their own conclusions.

General Discussion / Re: How to eat liver?
« on: November 21, 2008, 06:08:32 pm »
I just cut my raw livers in bite size chunks and eat it.
Maybe I'm lucky the goat and beef livers I get taste really good.

You could try Aajonus' liver pate recipe:

Dice a handful of liver and dice a small red onion bulb and blender them.
You can get cucumber sticks and eat it that way.

Makes you look sociable.  You can share it with friends and family.  Although the normal people will put salt and pepper in their pate.

7375
I had gone through many dietary changes... evolution... try what works...
I used to be sick too and it was partially addressed by detox methods... not through diet...
Then I was looking for a sustainable way of living that would free me from herbs, supplements, vitamins, etc.
I tried raw vegan... unsustainable and tastes bad.
I tried raw fruitarian... taste good smelled good... but I was getting too thin and too cold and I live in a tropical country.
So I switched to Wai Diet (already raw paleo) by adding eggs and fish to my fruits.
Then I got bored with just fish and got curious with raw land animals and experimented.
So I'm expanding my menu for variety.

So my health broke down in 2005 and I have been in search of the perfect diet (for me) and raw paleo works.
