Bison is superior IMO.
More natural of an animal.
Tastes better too.

General Discussion / Re: E.coli infection treatments?
« on: March 15, 2011, 09:08:26 am »
I got sick from eating cooked meat on saturday at a paleo event in my area.
Nothing but liquid out my bum and a massive headache for the first 48 hours.
Not often do I eat cooked meat (well done  -v) but when I do i usually regret it.
My position on raw meat is pretty firm, it is the best way for your body.
Eating dry meat is much worse than eating some bugs that whitecoats claim are bad for you.
I convinced at least half of them that raw meat can be delicious, so it was worth it.

I am building myself up, which I am not sure is even necessary, but just to be cautious.  So far I have eaten meat that has sit out for a couple days, and I figure by eating more and more rotten meat, eventually my body will have adapted and it won't be a concern at all....
I pull my meat out in the morning and eat it at night. This has worked best for me. Room temp with active bac.

E coli microorganisms are beneficial for the intestinal tract.

I'd be afraid of a shark with a beam ray too if I were a parasite.
Just have it eat the human, then the paranoid human problem is solved.
SAD eaters are, most likely, way more at risk.
Raw animal fooders eat a way more good bacteria.

Beam ray.

If a RAFer gets infected with e.coli what would be the best treatments aside antibiotics??
I don't worry about parasites at all. We've got them for life most likely.
Eat spicy foods once and a while and you should be fine.
I prefer garlic and habanero pepper. Ceviche/tartare are great ways to take them raw.
IMO High meat and stink fish are great probiotics.

I'm curious, how would you discover you had "e.coli" and that it was the culprit of your ill?
Doctors can only find it, they have never proven it actually causes disease.

....I was a beta man but I have been transforming into more of an alpha due to recent changes........I was never assertive my entire life until recently and no one knows how to handle it.  I am not playing the role that my family and co-workers expect of me.
Ditto, People who take advantage of others don't like when you stop being a punk.
It may be a rocky road with them, for a while, but in the end I am sure you will surpass them in badassnessery.
Then you will find out who the secure/confident ones are in your life.

...My boss bought me deodorant...
What a dick
I smell pretty strong some times, not nearly as dank as the first few months though.

Do you have a better link showing the CDC recommending it?

Cut your penis or you will get HIV and die!! (possible exaggeration)

http://www.cdc.gov/hiv/resources/factsheets/circumcision.htm

They even say that some men report better secks after penis filet time.

If you don't use it, you lose it.

Leisure is fun, but I never want to stop working.
This is why I am driven to work for myself someday.
Hopefully soon.

actup90 did you really eat those? !
One at a time while they were still moving.  ;)
They were crunchy and juicy!

Sorry a little shell shocked...but WHAT THE SWEET GRASS FED BEEF IS THAT?!! omg is that poo? Or oyster flesh? The crabs look cute I guess...but terrifying.
The brown, if I remember correctly came from the outside of the shells when I transferred one from another shell. 8 out of 15 had them within.  I guess it's common. Not so terrifying, really. Free crabs! Living is as raw as it gets.

I have acne, maybe I should just have my skin removed... LOL

Once I read that a study was done on an unsuspecting crowd of people at a mock environmentalist rally.
Hundreds of people signed a petition to ban dihydrogen monoxide, because they said it was destroying the planet.
So many people simply suck and are walking fails.
This is why I remain suspicious of all claims against carbon. Probably bullshit, and even if it is a problem there are worse ones to focus on.

Come on miles, you have no idea how ingrained the circumcision culture is here
Please don't talk like that, success is the only route.

I eat oysters with worms/parasites in them, who cares?
I sure don't.
There is a species of crab-like parasite within some oysters that I got last fall.
I ate them separately.  ;D

<=== Connor is fully intact
You might be able to take my life, but you will never take my foreskin!!!

1Filipino teenage women DEMAND that their men / suitors be circumsized or they are not entertaining their advances.
2Filipino elders expect circumcision.
3...because of the milky white cheese stink called "KUPAL"....
4Nationwide free clinics and paid clinics are held every summer vacation to circumcize boys.  Rotary clubs have free circumcision missions.
1.Sounds like hell. I am so sorry to hear that.
2.Old people suck.
3.Around here, women love cheese.  :D
4.Religion is the cancer that will eat this planet.

I thank you for sharing your perspective, that was a huge eye opener.
Never have I heard someone talk of penis cutting in such a insane confident manner.
I give kudos that you are given a choice, but then again, not really.
For me however, I will keep my man-clit.

Also, I often experience the opposite of what food combining theories suggest.

hmm.. I will experiment with this.
Now that I think of it...
Most cultures combine starch and flesh.
It might not be ideal but it should be noted.

I agree with you, however I have an inquiring mind and want to get to the root of this whole RDA thing.  I suspect a good amount is based on bad science, or politics, or both.  I cannot quiet my inner scientist.   ;D
I think it is a rat race. There is validity to is for sure, but the solution is very simple.

Liver almost fills the gap for all the vitamins that you missed. It is basically the most nutrient dense food you can eat.
I agree, add in heart, tongue, eggs, and maybe some veggies and there is nothing to worry about, ever.

294
IMO targeting vitamin and mineral levels is of no use.
Continue eating a variety of real food and things will undoubtedly get better.

You can wear socks with Fivefingers.
No, you can not.  :P
Of course you could put socks over your vibrams,
but that would just be silly.

ADDITION
The idea of toe socks slipped my mind. hahaha!
Still, vibrams are supposed to be skin tight.
You would have to buy a size up

I would suggest resting 45-60 minutes between the two, at least.
When I eat cooked veggies I leave about an hour in between, and eat them with lots of raw oil/butter.
IMO Parasites are not an issue, especially because I almost always eat cooked veggies with spicy plants/garlic.

Thanks PP
You are always great with info!

Unfortunately the honey here in the southwest is mostly dry, like 15% moisture.
I might be making mead soon though, that should be interesting.

Has anyone else noticed better results from fermented raw honey than regular raw honey?
How does one ferment honey?
I was pretty sure raw honey lasts longer than people do.

When I run a search all I can find is mead brewing...
