To summarize this hilarious thread... Continue to not see my husband - actually get divorced- eat only raw meat and eat lots of organs, and don't move in the Eskimos or I might turn into an alcoholic or get beat

Hahahaha this was amusing!!!

What about adding teas to your daily regimen? Strain them and you have a power House of lots of different molecules from.plants, sans fiber.

That makes a lot.of sense since it is essentially dehydrated if it's cured. I was thinking that the probiotic aspects would be beneficial, so perhaps I should think of it as such, and not as a main food source.

I'm also really looking forward to making fish sauce!! Yeeesssss!!!

Thanks so much for your input!

I mostly see people eat fresh raw meats or high meats here on this whole community, not just zero carb.

I am wondering why I don't see more chacuterie meats? They are always raw, and if homemade, not full of nitrates and such.

Additionally, why not fermented meats, like a fish sauce? Or an air dried, fermented sausage?

I am going to start experimenting with making these types of foods. They are delicious, raw, only have spices from the plant species, have beneficial bacteria and molds.

It makes sense to me. The whole " parasites are just a scare" doesn't make much sense to me, considering that humans have created curing/smoking/cooking over hundreds of thousands of years, to combat them and preserve meats. What is everyone's thoughts on this?

I know I dont want to eat cooked foods, and I love cured meats, and cold smoked meats. Salami with a good aged cheese and raw honey... Oh my!! Minus the honey and you have an incredible carnivorous meal.

I just see, when people aren't raw, like eggs and steaks. Whhyyyyyy!!?? What am I missing (other Than yummy salami haahhhaahhahahaa)

Huge tape worms coming out of pigs faces?! Yuck!!! -v -v -v -v -v -v

Read Aajonus' newsletter archives.  He studied mercury and fish eating.  You'll have answers there.  Did your carber friend eat their carbs cooked?  How about their muscle meats?  Fats?

I eat raw chicken, raw duck and raw pork.  I ate raw pork tonight, not uncommon for me.  I bought raw chicken yesterday to eat today.  I used to eat more raw chicken.  I liked it better.  I eat more raw pork at the moment.  I like that better.  When I first started I ate more raw fish for my meat.  I liked that.  I have not liked raw beef yet.  I do like raw buffalo.  I do not like raw deer.

Raw "white" meats help calm.  Raw red meats give you iron.  Raw fish can help your nervous system and glands.  That journal sounds like an excellent way to learn and teach.

I think this is excellent and I really appreciate it!

Thanks for posting the original thread! I have been wanting to ask the same questions, just havent gotten around to it yet. This is great!!! Thanks everyone for your incredible input!

9/7/17

Here's to my first entry.

Today, I danced around the kitchen at 730 am, after eating a delicious breakfast of a few ounces of ground beef, and 4 eggs. I also had a bit of butter and a small amount of coffee.

This is a far cry from the girl who used to wake up and cry on the way to work, hoping to get hit by a bus and killed.

Diet fucking matters!!

More details to come as I start to process this whole.journey.

This might be my favorite part of this whole community. I love this open journal section already!

Oh, down two pounds in four days since starting the carnivorous style eating!

Can the anti zero carb people stop commenting on this post? And also those who don't know about ketosis?

Back on topic, i've been doing a lot of reading about women specifically on zero carb, many of them have tremendous success. Also, duh it's never going to be fully zero carb, since there are some carbs in eggs and meat - I'm not the one who named it, nor am I the one who named it that on this site.

Again, get off the thread if you are against it! Go outside and smell the flowers instead of wasting your time on a thread in a section you are against!

Updates. This is the easiest eating style I've ever tried so far. 4 days in, and Im ridiculously happy, and feel amazing. Im effortlessly shedding weight. Im down 2 pounds in four days. Im not counting anything, since I have a rough idea of the macros of what im eating, but I'm certainly not counting. I'm getting super energetic after I eat, which is a nice change. Before, it was I either got tired or felt not spike in energy, depending on diet style.

I'm eating mostly cooked, but soon will be switching back to mostly raw, but still maintaining the carnivorous style. I've decided to dip out of ketosis once a season, and see how that goes. Gorge on fruits one day per season so I can mimic more natural cycles of maintaining some body fat stores for times of scarcity.

Anyway, this is working well so far. I'm enjoying it, it is tasty, easy, and I feel great. Mind is clear, skin is glowing, sleep is improving, focus and drive are sky rocketing. I'm also going to do some calculations to determine co2 and water foot print of diet versus how I used to eat while vegan. It will be interesting I surmise.

Once again, get off my thread in the carnivorous section if you are against it. Go be happy instead of wasting time complaining about something in a section dedicated to that said something. It's weird and irritating.

So the people in zero carb are against zero carb? Uhh....

And yah, I would keep protein to like 25% or so, rest from fat.

Plus I feel a bit tired all the time. I'd love, love, love that feeling to go away. And to know that my liver isn't going to give out, and that my hormones are balanced so my ovaries don't hemmoraghe spontaneously or suddenly die from the cysts twisting them. Honestly, that may sound dramatic, but those are all possibilities considering my drinking/drug/past eating combined with my hormones issues. My ovary twisted three times under the weight of a 10cm cyst, and I've had a dr tell me before when I have cysts the size of grapefruits (a different hospitalization from cysts) that try can rupture and cause very quick bleeding which can kill me. Ideally, I'd like to live off grid, so I need to figure out how to not have monthly ovulation cycles be life threatening. I feel my cysts almost every month, painful, let me tell you, even now.

Man oh man, I hope zero carb is a solution.

I am 5'4" and my body fat is roughly 30%, which i think is way too high!! That's what I use as my baseline for healthy weight, my body fat percentage. That, and I can't seem to get excess fat off, meaning to me, there must be metabolism issues. Plus, I Know for a fact that I have hormone issues, partly responsible for my massive weigjt gain a few years back. I've been hospitalized a few times and have had to have surgery once for stupidly large cysts on my ovaries. Both of my sister have been diagnosed with pcos, I seem to have it the worst due to multiple hospitalizations, I just haven't been diagnosed since I avoid drs. Additionally, the fat storage distribution on my body is indicative of  excessive hormones. You can see it stored around my arms, hips, and waist.

That's funny about Arnold!! My old governator😀

I will definitely keep that in mind about weightlifting, as I am.going to get back into it starting Monday. I will keep that three week window in mind, see if that occurs for me. Personally, if it does, I hope I need to eat other things during my pms of my period so can a lot of food then - best time! Hahaha

Is this picture ok? This is with the 7 pounds weight loss.

If coffee is ok, is tea?

I like tea. Wah!!!

How about lemon juice? Maybe just the peel?

Hello everyone!

I'm going to be starting zero carb next week. I've tried literally like every diet, and I can't get below 150 lbs, and I have about 25 more to lose. I know why, too. I go keto. Then I start saying " oh some berries are ok as long as it fits my macros." Then I tried fully raw, and next thing I knew, there goes a whole mango. Oh hey, ok back to cooked. Aww look, a mini berry pie with only 3 net carbs... I'll take 3.

See, I used to have a serious alcohol issue. I'm still massively, massively addicted to carbs. I can't seem to handle any, cuz I just binge. Lately, I've noticed that I get backed up on salad, and I'm just craving insane amounts of meat and butter. So, why not go zero carb?!?!

Wish me luck. I'm going to go full force for 30 days, just meat and water. Ideally, I'm hoping I can handle raw beef, raw beef organs, raw eggs, raw butter, and raw cream as my only meal items. Maybe the occasional pound of bacon for a meal.

Additionally, I know that it's supposed to be like zero plant foods, but I've seen spices as acceptable. So, can I do homemade, raw, fermented hot sauce and mustard? Those are "spices", so I'm unsure what the difference here would be. I think I could live happily on raw steak covered in raw mayo made with butter instead of olive oil, that's been lacto fermented, with homemade fermented Chipotle sauce and homemade fermented mustard... Thoughts?

Here are some progress pics.
First pic July 23, second pic today, August 28 (down about 7 pounds, 15 from the start of the journey).

Is it acceptable for me to post topless pics if I cover my nips? Not fair guys can post chest pics if I can't  :)

I looked up backyard chicken raisers in my area a few years ago, maybe two, and I was rather disappointed to find that they all seemed to keep them rather penned up and charged like 8-10 bux a dozen.

18
There are foods that humans have eaten for like hundred if not thousands of years that require cooking, like elderberries. They are wild, undomesticated, and I can't seem to find an issue with them, except they need to be cooked. This is a strange topic to me, cooking certain foods to render them edible. Thoughts?

19
Aside from the obvious "it's dead and you denature the enzymes" thing, what are the drawbacks to cooking greens, like kale and spinach? For example, a pro is you denature oxalates, and another is you can eat a whole lot more. A con is you kill it! Any other pros/cons? I'm mostly interested in cons. I'm wondering why humans decided to keep cooking greens, and if the cons outweigh this for me, personally.

Not organic per say and not sure about soy free, but gmo free and pasture raised and about half the price of the other kinds of pasture raised eggs I can find. Money is an issue right now so these work. $5/doz instead of the usual $9-10/doz I pay for other brands they carry of farmer's market egg's

I felt terrible yesterday after the stupid orange! I had to take a nap! It was no good. I love love love love love love raw butter. I could literally live on it. I prefer it over coconut oil taste and nutrition wise, plus I bet it has a lower carbon footprint print. As for the pasture raised eggs, I can find soy and gmo free feed ones! Hard to find but worth it. Plus, I found these! New whole foods item

Omnivorous Raw Paleo Diet / Re: Who intentionally eats bugs?
« on: June 19, 2017, 11:22:49 am »
I haven't eaten bugs yet, really. Im easing in cuz I don't want to feel stupid if I puke. Foraged a ton of elberberries today and left the bugs in. Ate some wee bugs in pollen I separated from some foraged elderberry flowers yesterday... Stuff like that at this point. I could do the crickets and grasshoppers if they are already dead. I really do have that subconcious eww factor and I don't like it. I feel like a big ole baby. That's super awesome about cathing bugs and just eating them whole. Man. Im.such a baby.... Stupid concrete hell! You have ruined me! I want to do more human things. Bring on the bugs! Ok. Baby steps 😀

Don't buy cage free, buy pasture raised! I've never had whipped egg yolks in the sense that you seem to be eluding too.

Yah.... I need more butter in my life. Currently broke so I'm eating fruit off my tree and I feel like poo. This week will be crappy. $17/ pound of raw butter is something I just can't do right now when I have a free tree in my backyard. But after today... Stuff like this is how I guide most of my food choices. How do I feel? How Is the rest of my body reacting? How well do I recover from a workout?  I have a crap ton of chia seeds so Im sporting a bunch to.turn into seedlings. It will be free since I already have them and I will.hopefully feel better. Screw you, orange tree and you're oranges...

I had a similar experience. I just keep the eggs whole and use them In shakes, I never throw the egg whites out. Buuuuttttt if I'm in the mood for just yolks, I just add the whites to the next mornings shake! I tend to make a few in advance, but not shake, so the whites are a super simple.additoo. To my shakes.
