This might be a stupid question but I thought I would ask because of the current healing I am going through with this remedy.

How is your intake of bone broth?

I am on day 3 of nothing but bone broth and veggie juice (mainly greens, some carrot) and I have been experiencing quite a few benefits. Its still too early to tell but I notice I urinate longer and a lot less frequent. The rough patch under my eyes (which I link to gallstones) has started to smooth over. I ate a lamb brain and some liver today so I guess I broke my liquid fast a little but I really think the bone broth has been helping me tremendously. Today was chicken feet and head broth, from Millers (best quality chicken I am aware of) What has been your experience with bone broth, and which animals do you prefer if any?

Consider Diatomaceous Earth for killing parasites. Here is some info http://www.richsoil.com/diatomaceous-earth.jsp

Also the Rife machine has been known to have frequencies to kill Parasites. Here is what Wiki has to say about it although im sure you could find better info elsewhere. Forum and such...

Consuming high amounts of tryptophan have been known to promote stress.

Possible think about balancing it with equal amounts or more of Glycine. Found in bone broth and Gelatin.

Ever tried or heard of the Rife machine?

I have had similar issues when I wad adjusting to raw meat.

First I would only eat 1-3 oz of liver every couple days to avoid high amounts of Vitamin A. The most beneficial supplement I have found to assist with adjusting to a mostly raw meat diet is Gelatin. Great Lakes has a grass fed gelatin that you can order and mix with water to drink. Also drink it with your meat meals to balance the amino acid content. Gelatin, IMHO, has been the best healer to any gut issues I have had. Also making homemade bone broths from grass fed bones, especially knuckle, is going to aid tremendously in digestion. I only wish I had known this sooner. I could have saved myself a lot of unneeded suffering. I also hope more people are aware of the amino acid requirements form Gelatin. It is absolutely necessary.

Here is a link explaining why....

and which clay was that paleophil?

Yah I have also seen them set up booths at farmers markets. I use "Emulate" 100% Natural Emu Oil. It also says Pharmaceutical Grade. They have a bunch of different products although I went with the pure Emu Oil.

I ordered Moroccan Lava Clay powder off amazon about 3 months ago. It was super cheap and Ive used it about once a week and barely made a dent in the amount I have left. It has, however, made a dent in me healing my skin. My acne scars are almost completely gone now. I never wash my face anymore and just use a clay mask once a week and my skin has never looked better.

Also I just started, about two weeks ago, applying Emu Oil to my face and at first it made it look greasy although now it has transformed my skin into someone else's entirely. It is soo smooth and shiny all the time now and I still only apply it once a week. (After the clay mask)

Has anyone ever uses Emu Oil? I looked it up and they actually extract it from the back fat of the animal. Man I would love to eat some emu back fat Mmmm sounds delicious ;D

I would eat some of mine although I am sure its heated an probably comes from a grain fed animal. It is doing wonders for my skin though. I got it a few weeks back at our local health food store for a burn. Then after researching it I started putting it on my face after washing. http://www.emufacts.com/Research/research1.shtm

It has transdermal effects which means it carries what ever is mixed with it, or already on the skin, inside the skin. So one should only apply to a clean area.

You inspired me to start taking P5P which I have been now for the past week.

I feel like I have had more energy and more restful sleep although I do not recall my dreams an easier.

I also notice the pain in my wrist has decreased.

How much have you been taking? and how long now?

I just take one pill with a non animal based meal.

I tried using photo bucket to link the photo although was unsuccessful.

General Discussion / Super Green Grass Fed Animal Meat.

Has anyone had any experience with cows or bison or any other animals that were fed super foods like the ones vegans recommend? For instance grass-fed cattle also fed sprirulina, chlorella, and blue green algaes. It sounds like a good idea in my head. I just wanted to get it out there and see if anyone else has thought the same thing or had any insight.

Health / Re: Kidney Stones
« on: July 07, 2013, 06:02:56 am »
Yah I could totally feel my teeth change one morning. Just slightly and I stopped the experiment. It might have helped though. I at a meal of 3 oz bison liver and 3 oz backfat last night and felt fine. I think I need to just rest after I eat my one meat meal. Also I started taking Shilajit for minerals while I do not consume as much meat and because of the fulvic acid. I feel a nice energy boost and clear headedness from it so am going to continue. Also planning on ordering blue ocean minerals for the magnesium content. Has anyone else taken Shilajit or have an opinion on the mattter? As far as I can tell its paleo.

@GS What do you think about using limes instead?  Can I use a straw to drink the lemon/lime juice?

I have been using this remedy about two times a day with limes.
Usually in the morning. Seems to be helping. Today is day three.
I can only tolerate 1-2 oz bison fat and 2-4 ounces bison organ/mussel.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a supplement or particular food to eat more of while my meat consumption is so low?

Anyone else ever taken Shilajit? Or have any insights on its effects?

Thanks for all the great advice. As soon as I pass the stone I will be sure to let you know what type it was. I am considering getting a X ray. Although I am usually very against these my uncle (A Naturopathic Doctor) is strongly recommending it.

@PaleoPhil
I have done a lot of my own research and I have found that kidney stones have quite a lot of conflicting information. Listening to my intuition though says to eat watermelon and other watery fruits. Although when I eat to much I breakout so I have to be very careful with this. Also I find that if I eat fruit later in the day I feel better as opposed to early in the morning. I feel like VLC is either only for some people or for when the body is in perfect health and most of the detoxing has been accomplished. I hope to find the type of stone I have soon so that I may further research the culprit for its formation.

@CK
Hmm Uric acid stone makes sense because I tried water fasting and I felt kidney pain at the 18 hour mark which hints at it being Uric Acid. I really do not know for sure though. I am taking Chanca Piedra tea as well as a kidney tonic that my uncle (naturopathic doctor) prescribed.

@Van
What do you think about urine therapy for kidney stones? I already use it for acne and it works wonders. I have drank it only when sick and wonder about the uric acid in the urine could potentially exacerbate the stone formation. Or it could have the opposite effect due to a homeopathic way of exposing the body to minute amounts of uric acid. All day I make sure my pee is very light yellow by staying adequately hydrated. Every morning its a deep dark yellow and my ankles are a little soar no matter what I eat. I actually read a post of yours a while back and since then have limited my meat consumption to 4 ounces or less and usually 2-3 times a day. I am feeling now that I should only eat 4 ounces a day once per day and at the end of the day until I feel different. Also I am drinking mostly distilled water with a pinch of celtic sea salt in it. I have a spring near by although my instincts tell me to stay away from it for the time being.
When you eat mono meals. How long do you wait till your next meal? Because when I eat a mono meal of only 4 ounces of meat I am hungry until my next meal. I went mono for a week and lost a bunch of weight although I was very very clear headed and quite happy until I ate 9 apricots and felt sick. haha.

If I was over weight or at least average weight I would probably just continue to eat mono. Since I struggle with underweight I am a little worried about a nutritional deficiency if I were to eat mono for a long period of time.

@GS
I read a post from you a while back that mentioned Mulunggay for lactating mothers. I got a bottle for my sister who at the time was having troubles with lactation. I ordered a bottle for myself now. I can let you know how it works. Thank you for the advice. I had no idea it was full of magnesium.

@PaleoPhil
When I was closer to the Aajonus way of eating I had no problem with kidney stones. It was during this last winter that I experimented with RVLC and at first felt fine. Until only the 6th day when I got a bump under my eye which I since learned is related to kidneys. I definitely believe that RVLC quickly accelerated my stone formation. RVLC is not for me.

I just hope I have not ruined my body's ability to digest raw meat. I was vegan yesterday and felt fine regarding kidney area. Although I already crave meat. Anyone have any advice on that subject? Should I be vegan for a while? Should I eat lightly cooked meat or maybe only white meat? Organi meats I learned have the highest Purins in it which are most likely the culprit for my stone formation. I have eaten a lot of organs this year and feel healthy besides the kidney stones.

Health / Kidney Stones
« on: June 20, 2013, 01:11:15 am »
I have recently developed some large kidney stones. I passed a stone 3 years ago before I was into eating healthy and now I have been raw paleo for the past year and have developed even larger stones. I have limited my raw meat consumption to 4 ounces or less and that seemed to help although left me very hungry. Then when I had 4 ounces lamb with 4 ounces lamb fat for breakfast yesterday I had the worst pain ever. I gently threw up my meal about 10 minutes later and laid hunched over in excruciating pain for about 45 minutes until it completely subsided and left my insides feeling a little tender. It seems even a little bit of raw animal food is making it worse although now I have no idea how to eat. Does anyone have any advice?

I am taking chanca piedra tea now per advice from a friend. I am drinking plenty of water. I had to resort to eating some cooked rice because I had no idea what else to eat. Most fruits aggravate stones and all animal foods do as well. I can't stand most plant foods and most of them are not good for kidney stones as well.

Primal Diet / Re: CHOLESTEROL DEPOSITS
« on: May 04, 2013, 10:09:47 pm »
Primal girl can you post a picture? I think I might be getting one as well. I had no idea it was related to fatty deposits thought. I thought it had something do with kidney since it was below the eye.  So i started taking a kidney formula and drinking nettle tea. So far I haven't noticed a difference although it does not seem to be getting worse. Mine is below the left eye and I can feel it swell after eating a fatty meal which really sucks because my diet is supposed to mainly consist of fat. Even when I eat a meal of only animal suet/back fat and organ meat or muscle meat. Eggs however do not make it feel swollen.

@ iguana

I heard that by elevating your feet higher than the body at slight degree it shuts of the adrenal system which gives it time to rebuild. I used to nap like this during the day and experienced positive results. I am interested in experimenting with the IBT in order to remember my dreams and potentially experience more positive dreams although need a piece of plywood or something because I sleep on a thin mat that I can roll up during the day.

General Discussion / Healing Reactions
« on: January 27, 2013, 11:46:57 am »
Has anyone experienced any "healing reaction" ie skin eruptions or some other form of detox that is proof we can detox heavy metals like vaccines or other toxic build up. Does anyone know more about the detox ability of RAF and high meat?

147
Ok thank you. So to achieve ketosis one could only eat say 1 lemon and 1/2 an avocado per day and that would be the limit on carbs? Or even just 2 lemons would reach the maximum carb limit for a keto diet and no avocado or coconut cream would be allowed for the rest of the day. Is this correct?

148
Do raw pasture raised eggs have carbs? I have read conflicting information on this..

Also I read that avocados can have up to 15 carbs in them. Does anyone know the carb content of the foods we eat?

Welcoming Committee / Re: Fermented Foods?
« on: October 18, 2012, 05:01:44 am »
Thank you all so much for your answers, advice, and information. I am going to make a point to balance my intake of cultured foods into my diet. I for surely do not want to speed up my digestion. Being as underweight as i already am. I could also do with the heating factor since I live in a desert.

I have eaten high meat on more than dozen occasions now and I totally felt an uplifting feeling as well as an increase in energy several hours after the consumption. With no bad side effects the first several times. Then I started to experience sharp stabbing pains in the lower abdominal area about 8-12 hours after the consumption. I tested it out and it only happened on the days I ate my high meat (which was every 3 days which is what AV said to open and let oxygen in). I only let it go a full 8 days of no aeration at one point when I was out of town and i suppose this could be the issue. Although AV mentioned it would be fine...

I am currently exploring the idea of food allergies or food intolerance. My diet consists of meat,dairy,veg juice,eggs

I ve been reading a lot on this forum about many people experiencing intolerance to dairy. Has anyone factored blood type in? My blood type is B+ which they say does well with all kinds of dairy, I do not agree with a lot Peter A'adamo has written, although when I read this it definitely rang true. I have always felt like i digested dairy well and perhaps better then any other food group... but i am willing to consider cutting it out and record the effects.

Vegetable juice %90 of the time has negatively effected me. If I drink it in the morning I am having frequent bowel movements all day to the point of discomfort. I stick to powdered green supplements because of this factor and I increase my lemon consumption as well as drink apple cider vinegar to alkalize my body.

Eggs sometimes make me feel nauseous at first but for the most part feel good about the raw consumption of them. Maybe they are the culprit? idk...

Then there is meat. Which i feel the raw introduction of it to my diet has improved my health more than any other food or supplement.

My diet now is already so constricted. If i cut another food group out such as dairy or eggs, what else is there to eat? Are we just supposed to eat raw meat and avocados twice a day?

Welcoming Committee / Fermented Foods?
« on: October 13, 2012, 11:11:09 am »
I am just 4 months into my experiment with RAF. Due to toxic build up it has been one helluva journey. If were it not for the miraculous recovery from; epilepsy, depression, underweight, etc. within just the first two weeks of following a strict A.V. Primal diet I would not have continued to eat RAF. The reason being that the following months I became plagued with "detox symptoms" along with digestion issues that were almost too much to bear. After adjusting diet and eliminating all toxins I was able to somewhat recover from these RAF "Side Effects". I now experience the healthiest I have ever looked and for the most part felt except for this nagging issue of poor digestion or perhaps mal-absorption. Which leads me to my questions... if I experience improper digestion of raw foods, especially animal, due to a estimated deficiency of enzymes, bacteria, and pro-biotics then could I potentially cure it with fermented foods?

I understand cultured veggies, kefired cream, and cheese all contain beneficial bacteria that have been proven to aid in digestion along with promoting feelings of optimism and I do admit eating those have helped me tremendously but what about meat? Is there really any proof that this "high-meat" is actually good for us?

Could I potentially "over dose" on bacteria by eating too much fermented foods and experience "food-poisoning"?

Is there a limit to how much fermented foods I should eat? Is Nitric Oxide Toxicity a possibility?

These are just a few questions I have if anyone cares to share I would much appreciate it. So far I am the only one I know that eats this way...
