As far as who is healthier. Bernie Sanders is 73 years old and not a millionaire. Donald Trump is 68 and a millionaire. Just because Bernie is bald?

Hmm, I tried chewing raw coca leaves when I was in South America on holiday for a couple of months, c. 8 years before I went rawpalaeo. I got no effect on them that I could determine, no doubt because, at the time, my mind and body was so infused with excessive levels of hormones that I already felt like I was on drugs , anyway. I am getting a bit sick of being a Puritan on this one issue, so I have been doing some quick research on where to buy drugs in Vienna. Seems as though some Underground Stations may be the best bet. On the other hand, how do I guarantee that what they sell is what I want(transactions are ultra-quick and formulaic to make it as difficult as possible for the cops) and whether the stuff is safe to consume and in what quantity? And is there anything legal I can try in Austria? Any ideas welcome from those rawpalaeos who regularly explore other planes of consciousness or whatever.

Well also there is something about the time of year and maturity of the plant that produces the alkaloids. From the same plant I have chewed up two twenty leaves with minimal effect and at other times only 3 leaves was enough to absolutely numb my throat, mouth, and stomach and give me a very noticeable high.

...

As far as what to venture forth with in terms of Psychedelics. The DMT related plants have a long history of use and IMO are the most rewarding in terms of coming back with some new perspective. Also they are the most relatively safe from my experience.

Mushrooms have psilocybin which is just 4h0-dmt so those are great and can be eaten raw or mixed with an acid, lime juice, to convert to psilocin for an easier time and probably less chance for a "bad trip"... maybe. Either way a much more enjoyable experience.
Ayahuasca is the most common DMT containing plant and can be made raw as well.

Another reason DMT is so great is that it is in practically every plant. So with a little knowledge it can be extracted from plants located all around the world. They would never be able to make them all illegal. So many can be ordered online legally.

There could be other factors besides sexual activity that come from being single. For instance sleeping alone. I for one have noticed a sharp decline in health, especially mental health, if I sleep too many nights next to someone.

I prefer to sleep alone as much as possible.

I have chewed my fair amount of coca leaves. I am not sure what you mean by how do they taste. But the effects are wonderful. Especially while working and going long periods of time with out food. It numbs the stomach a great deal as well as the throat and mouth so you end up not tasting anything.

Addictive definitely, but no real potential for abuse when only chewing the raw leaves IMO

Another name for it is Brimstone Flowers which is what they called it in the bible...

Here is what I ordered a while back: http://www.pennherb.com/flowers-of-sulphur-powder-16-405p16

I was taking 200 mg 3-4 times a day. It also is necessary for collagen production so it gives the skin a nice healthy glow :)
I might have to start it up again my self...

It also helped me digest raw milk (not that I am promoting it but after much experimentation I find I do best with it, just me experience)

As far as low carb.. All I am saying is listen to the body. If you don't want carbs one day or maybe one day you want lots of carbs. Either way I think confining yourself to specific way of eating can be long term unhealthy. Listening to the body is the real goal. It can take a lifetime to master though ;)

RawPaleo can be full of carbs. Honey, fruit, some easy to digest veggies and I can get anywhere from 10-400 carbs a day depending on how I feel...

Hope that helps

That actually makes sense about the oatmeal as it is extremely high in Manganese. (Not that I am recommended you eat it, I don't do grains either)

Pineapple and berries I think are high in Manganese.

Flowers of Sulfur is extremely low cost. Less than $10 can get you a lifetime supply. (I have only found it online though) I think back in the 1900's it was a main anti parasite remedy given to people and animals. Taken once a month or even once a year was enough to do the job.

Why are you trying Low Carb? Why not just eat what you are craving in its most natural source? The body knows what it needs...
I doubt you can find anyone in good health on a Low Carb diet that started out at such a low weight. Maybe if you had weight to spare but being so thin, IMO, Low carb is going to wreak havoc on your metabolism = digestion.

Good Luck.

Sounds like it could be a metabolic issue.
Possible things to consider:

Getting blood checked for C02 levels.
Hair tested for heavy metal content.

How much manganese are you getting in your diet?
From what I understand Manganese pushes calcium out of cells allowing potassium in thereby increasing metabolism.

...

A safe remedy could be Flowers of Sulfur which can help to strengthen liver which may help regulate Manganese levels. Also it is a potent weapon against candida and parasites. It has been mentioned in the bible and used for centuries with many benefits..

Health / Re: Eczema - A Journey To Healing
« on: April 25, 2014, 11:46:29 am »
My skin issues all resolved when I increased my calories including acne and eczema.
Dry skin is symptoms of low thyroid. I track body temperature to understand thyroid levels.
My roommates just yesterday commented on how clear my skin is. They are both vegetarian and have a little bit of acne as well as, IMO, thin skin with inclination towards eczema.
I am pretty sure I blow their minds when I am eating tons of butter, honey, eggs, and meat all day with little to no veggies and look way healthier then them and feel it too.
It still blows my mind that they can continue to eat their way while constantly complaining of fatigue and stress.
Meanwhile I am stuffing my face all day while laughing and enjoying life :)

@joe627
I am pretty sure you posted this in the RAW PALEO section of this forum and not in a place where other foods should be mentioned so I am going to have to limit my opinion on this matter.

That being the case I would say dried meat with fat is pretty high calorie, nutrient dense, with little to no water content.

I suspect these three factors are some of the most important in my healing process and have been linked to increasing my metabolism and therefor my overall health.

General Discussion / Re: Water
« on: April 24, 2014, 06:16:33 am »
That's really interesting.

Me too. I will generally get a small amount of sweat (armpits) when doing anything, but nothing more than that. I only really start sweating in other places when it's summer.

Yes, we eat the same exact foods. Only differences would be maybe I get an orange and he gets an apple when we go to the store for fruit. Or he eats 4 eggs while I eat 2. I'm 5'5" and 120 lbs, he is 5'10" and 155 lbs. We've never checked our pulse or temperature - not even sure how to go about that.  -[

Also interesting. I've found when I eat anything with salt, I'll drink a massive amount of water within an hour or so.

How much does he sweat and how has it been during his life? Is he a non sweater like you and I?

General Discussion / Re: Water
« on: April 24, 2014, 03:14:59 am »
Yeah, that's how I feel. The 3-4 glasses is like the absolute max, it's usually 1 small cup of water at work, and little to none if I'm not active.

Any reason why?

I feel like I get my fluids from fruit. I've been eating a lot of watermelon and just more fruit in general, and have been drinking even less water now. I remember GS mentioning that he relied on fresh fruit for his water.

I don't think peeing often is a bad thing, although at some point there would be 'too much' especially if you aren't gorging on something like watermelons or drinking tons of water. I can go 8-9 hours without peeing - I'll realize it when I did a full 8 hours at work and never went during any of my breaks. Then I'll get home and only when I'm in the shower to I finally really have to go.

On the contrary, my boyfriend drinks TONS of water. He even said that halfway through his watermelon, he felt like he needed to drink water badly. He's the exact opposite of me - he easily drinks more than the suggested 12 glasses. Probably bordering 20 glasses a day. But doesn't pee like crazy either. I wonder what the reason behind this is?

The reason behind my intention of consuming less liquids is because I find that it slows my metabolism down and impairs my digestion. I track my temperature and pulse rate several times throughout the day to get a better understanding of my metabolism. I have healed it considerably although still have a bit more to go. I bet that when I get to my ideal temperature range my water consumption or liquid consumption would go up a decent amount.

Also I was the person who never sweat even when working.

Do you and your boyfriend have the exact same diet? Are there any difference you can think of? Also what are your weight differences? If you check your pulse and/or temperature do you find you both have similar numbers?

I find that the more salt I eat the more hydrated I feel. If I were to chug a bunch of spring water or eat a watermelon with out any salt I can feel the water move right through me and intuitively it feels like I am dehydrating myself. Adding salt to fruit and fruit juices I now find I need less liquid or fruit to feel hydrated again.

Raw paleo can only help, give it a shot. Maybe try some intermittent fasting or longer water fasting to get your immune system away from your gut and available to do work elsewhere. But make sure not to go into starvation if you are already slim, as that will only make things worse. Eating raw animal skin will promote faster healing of the skin as well.

Can you elaborate on this skin eating if you don't mind? What parts of what animals do you find the skin easiest to consume or prefer?

Sorentus, please excuse me if this question is redundant, have you tried air drying your meat? If so how do you feel from it?

« on: April 23, 2014, 12:10:53 pm »
Personally I drink little to no water even on active days. I have gone more than two weeks with out taking a sip of water and felt great.
I am always trying to drink less liquids than I already do.
I usually drink 1/2 gallon of milk a day and a quart of orange juice.
Occasionally I have mineral water or if I am out of orange juice and milk I make salty honey water.
I can not remember the last time I had plain water though.
If I pee more than once in 4 hours I feel like something is wrong so I up my salt intake and maybe eat some "raw" pemmican instead of raw meat or homemade cheese instead of milk.

Why eat desiccated Thyroid, when raw is so much better.

I believe the key to optimal adaption to low carb paleo diet is eating the whole animal. Eat the entire liver, kidneys, spleen, lymph nodes, thyroid, thymus, adrenals, brains, eyes, tongue, ect,and drink the blood.... all raw.

Do you eat a whole Thyroid all at once? From what animal?

Off Topic / Thoughts on guidelines for posting and starting threads.
« on: April 16, 2014, 05:27:51 am »
Feel free to correct me at any point if you disagree with my opinions as I would like to learn more about others perceptions on this topic.

My thoughts are this.

A user starts a thread with a question or a topic. Many experienced members are now allowed and invited to comment and share their opinion on the topic and/or answer the question specifically. I feel that members should basically and usually be talking to the OP and not to other peoples answers. This leaves the OP to make his own decision based upon the evidence given from each individual response. If another member has a problem with someones answer or just would like to debate their answer further then potentially another thread could be started.

Now this sounds good in theory but how would it play out in practice?

Maybe this would contribute to too many topics started and a scattering of information although I am guessing that the opposite would the case.  Threads would now only contain direct information about the topic and be free from distractions. I have experience many many times an interesting thread full of good information as well as many unnecessary squabbles that in reality make the truth harder to find.

I do not think this have to be some sort of rule that people need to follow. I am just sharing my experience and opinion on this matter and anyone is free to interpret it how they wish.

Really the main reason for my post is to express my belief system at this current moment in time so that I may either change them later when I come across new information or maybe this might reinforce my perception and I can now strive for impeccability in all that I post.

General Discussion / Re: Loss of Appetite / Lack of Cravings
« on: April 16, 2014, 05:07:03 am »
I suspect that you haven't  allowed time for your body to use fat as fuel..   Fruit and meat and honey will give rise to blood sugar and hence insulin.   This may 'feel' good, but I would look into long term possibilities if I were you maintaining this dietary habit.

So what do you think my body is doing with all the fat I eat?

On average I eat 2 tablespoons of coconut oil, 4-6 tablespoons of butter, and roughly 6-8 ounces of animal fat per day.
I have no symptoms of malabsorption and I find I have increased energy with the more fat I eat. If I eat low fat I have less energy. That sounds to me like my body is using fat as an energy source. It might not be my MAIN energy source although it does seem to contribute to my increased well being, confidence, and positive outlook on life.

The more calories I eat in a day the better I feel. I have tested this many many times. Eating lots of carbs helps me eat more food.

Maybe one day I might come across evidence or self experimentation that would lead me to switch to a low carb diet with fat as my fuel source. Right now I just can not believe that is healthy for me. So why do something that I can't believe is healthy?

I am not sure why we have to debate this low carb high fat issue still. It seems, In my opinion, the answer is up to the individual and comes with no reason to question others choices unless otherwise specified to do so.

All I can do is share my experience and I try to do my best not to make assumptions about other peoples diet. Even if I had a day to day count of all the foods you eat I still wouldn't even come close to having enough information to make corrections and changes for your life.

Aw! This is disappointing. As mentioned above, Yukhoe (uses both meat and honey) is definitely a treat. I've never noticed digestion issues, but I'll also say that I'm not experienced enough to tell when something is wrong unless it's directly discomforting

I have been eating raw meat for two years now. After much experimentation I feel I digest meat better with raw honey than with out. My mood is improved as well. Meat alone or meat with fat and I feel depressed. Either lots of fruit before meat or eating honey during meat meal and I feel good.

Experimentation probably trumps all dietary advice, science, and history.

General Discussion / Re: No milk
« on: April 15, 2014, 07:54:01 am »
I think she meant paleo diet is what the caveman lived off as in no milk allowed and since she is following paleo diet she believes in abstaining from milk.

If you really don't want to add milk to your diet other calcium sources are:
Egg shell powder (home made is really easy)
Oyster shell powder
Pearl powder (http://gonegreenstore.com/dragon-herbs-pearl-powder)

Most of those are primarily calcium carbonate and could probably be good to limit to 500-1000 mg a day.

Probably a good calcium supplement could be
calcium glucarate.

Kefir cheese is super easy to make.

1. Make kefir.
2. After kefir is made let sit at room temperature for days until curds separate.
3. Line colander with cheese cloth and pour kefir on top.
4. Let sit for 1-3 hours.
5. Add salt and enjoy :)

I have been using this lately.
http://copperzap.com/

It seems to be beneficial although I am still in the trial phase. It feels like I am cleaning the nostrils and it is a good substitute for fingers.

It has been helping me get comfortable sticking things up my nose as well.

The chiropractor who performed it on me practically taught me how to do it because of his detailed explanation. I am considering trying it on myself although I would rather learn from someone in person as it a pretty intense procedure. Supposedly its a lot safer than it feels.

Thanks for sharing. Its good to know someone has done it to them self.

Do you use more than one finger cot attached to the bulb? Also do you perform it on all three nasal cavities on each side?
