When I said that part about being special, I was responding to the comment above yours about honey and garlic undoubtably causing a lot of gas.
Because I dont have that problem

Well I guess I just acknowledge that I live in 2013. In palaeolithic times, I would be dead. They couldn't fix brain injuries back then. They couldnt induce comas medically or even comprehend internal injuries that they couldnt feel. I couldnt feel it, I was knocked unconscious. Should I have had it written out that I did not want medical attention if anything was to happen to me, because it isnt paleo?

Im pretty happy to be here.

Since Im unnaturally alive, maybe I see it fit to eat some more modern foods in order to regain weight. Maybe in palaeolithic times, my weight would keep decreasing like it has been, and I would just get picked off by something stronger. Survival of the fittest right? Im not going to live religiously paleo, I would say thats why regular people all judge it so harshly. Its the paleos that believe that even if something is a good idea, they decline it because a caveman didnt have access to it. No one can say that the caveman wouldn't have eaten it if he did have it, no one can say that his health may even have increased if he had it.

Theres a time and a place for everything.

Modern things arent all stupid. A lot of them are, yes. The typical modern diet, thats suicide.
But if I need some help gaining weight because I have been trying very hard for almost 3 years now with no success, Im going to have some raw goats milk if my stomach accepts it. Ill also try anything else that isnt made by a machine, or with chemicals etc.

Its only your loss if you dont accept that although often times not necessary, modern things can be beneficial.

I have only ever used a pocket vaporizer. I love it, I dont burn out or anything. It makes me feel amazing haha.

And I found a few sources! Maybe the farms are catching on?

I eat it all the time. No problems here, maybe youre just special?

And I said regular milk, like cows milk. Cows milk is revolting. Im completely open to trying raw milk from any animal with one stomach.

I eat tonnes of raw honey, garlic, eggs, raw sheeps cheese. Organs when I can find some. Im not just eating flesh haha. My boyfriend found us a place to get raw goats milk, so thatll be soon. Im also going to try kale juice, and maybe fruit juices when my stomach improves a little more

Ill try sauerkraut again now that my stomach has calmed down. I tried it when I was bloated a few times and it only made it worse. But thats probably because my stomach was already struggling? Im trying to get my hands on fat haha, but like Id said to another guy on here, I need to find a good farm. One that I can actually get to preferably. Im trying to do exactly what you've said, I swear! You think thats gonna fix me?

I cant find raw dairy! Ive looked everywhere haha. I guess Im just being lazy, because its really such a nuisance to find a farm nearby. Especially because I dont have a car. I agree with you, I would never ever drink any kind of cows milk. I love goats milk. Ill get on it, Im in a new place anyways so Im in hunting for sources mode.

The herbs really help, Its incredible. I really never could have imagined. All the 'stoners' I knew were pretty stupid and had bad memories. I lost a lot of my memory when my brain was injured, but when Im high I found a way to work on it and improve it. The results are insane, everyone around me makes comments. And when depression comes to reclaim me, a little bit of weed saves the day.

Omnivorous Raw Paleo Diet / Raw meat only... for now?
« on: March 14, 2013, 07:38:25 am »
Okay guys Ive been off of regular garbage food for almost 3 months now. Its been the answer to every question Ive had.

Recently (I moved to another province), my stomach got weird again. Bloated and uncomfortable, I get fatigued and grumpy, my skin breaks out. Ive cheated once with one small butter tart (I was feeling pretty pissed off at my health). The water weight remains. I cant even eat fruit or vegetables these days without blowing up and breaking out.

Pure raw meat only.

My research has lead me to believe that it's the fibre doing it to me, fibre and sugar. Because I was on so many antibiotics after my accident, all of my good bacteria died. I have had stomach problems ever since because I have been absolutely nourishing the bad bacteria with fibre and sugar. Sugar from fruit etc. Why fibre, I dont eat any wheat or its alternatives? Vegetables have minimal to no sugar, but are full of fibre. It would make sense if thats why I feel bad after a salad. I have recently started the meat only thing, doing very well. My stomach feels good again. As soon as my stomach rebuilds a good amount of the right bacteria, Ill reintroduce fruit and veggies.

Anyone have any words of wisdom?
Any suggestions? Im not sure about much, society unfortunately doesnt seem to understand the world around it. Im just doing what my body tells me to, I think.

Omnivorous Raw Paleo Diet / Tell me your story!!
« on: February 04, 2013, 12:43:29 pm »
Yes, Im interested in hearing stories of people's journey to health.
But I want the frightening, uncomfortable kind of tales.
I havent had smooth sailing, I just want to know that Im not alone, and that people have gone through much worse than I have been through haha.

Im really interested in this, so I really hope at least a couple of people tell me about what they've been through when it comes to the transition to raw paleo.
I like happy endings too, no devastating endings please.

I use marijuana medically. I have countless issues that are eased or completely erased by it. It also enables me to eat enough raw fish to nourish me, because I really do hate raw fish.

Good to hear Tyler durden, haha. I will look like a super stoner for a year then. Is there anything to that egg white eye wash idea?

And we did gradually cut the sugar out. Other than sugar from fruit. Maybe it needs to run out of our systems, or the fruit sugar is bad?

My boyfriend and I have noticed that our eyes are often bloodshot. We started raw paleo just under a month ago. We are pretty concerned, because it just doesnt make sense as far as we know. What causes this?

haha you should restart! This old post helped me get through today, a very weird day for me. Its all worth it. Im sure of that. Cause I have tried so many things, 'normal' and radical. Nothing gave me results at all.

This has cleared up my skin (I trust my skin to tell me how Im doing on the inside), cleared up my depression (that had gotten progressively worse over the past 2.5 years), and its really been fixing my digestion. When I cheat, I cheat with maybe a cooked breakfast without toast and condiments. Or perhaps an organic wheat-free brownie. Its still my first month, so I dont think Im doing toooo bad. Its like Im a new person. Its incredible. I feel like I can make friends again, like I can talk about the present instead of the past (because the present is actually worth talking about now). I dont feel tired all of the time. I feel alive.

I wanted to die, but I didnt want to kill myself. Thats too brave. If there was a 'die' button, I would have pressed it. Now each day is like christmas. Im just excited to get up and see whats in store for me.

Im already healing so much, but I always wonder if it has just been a fluke, its good to read about other people actually succeeding haha. I used to want to help everyone, change how the world works. Because they really all do it so wrong. But I quit that, people don't change unless they have to. Maybe. Most will just go to the doctor and suffer for years until they finally die. Im so happy Ive found a seemingly real cure to everything.

Yeah that sounded a bit stupid. I know what sashimi is haha. Before the sashimi part, I meant to say that I like how the pros prepare sashimi. We just cant make it taste so good. At home its always a bit too fishy. Do you know how to make it taste like sashimi that you buy?

Haha neither me or my boyfriend enjoy the taste of raw fish yet. We like sashimi and steak so far, but theres no beef available where I am for the past 2 weeks, Its been pretty fishy.

Nono eggs yolks are the only thing that DOESNT make me bloated. I drink lots, only water and a bit of kombucha

But yes the adjustment period thing really seems to fit. Im just worried because its all new and no one can really tell you exactly what to expect.

I got sole from a local fishery here in BC. The fish are from the coast. The fish is completely fresh and hasnt been frozen. Is it good to eat?

Alright, before finding raw paleo I had found the mixing diet. It did make me feel much better, but just not good enough. But I really did think 'hey there's probably something to the whole 'no mixing' idea'. I'll be sure to be strict about it now :)

Okay so my stomach has been horrible for the past 3 or 4 days. It feels like its inflated and I can never deflate it. My skin is cleared up and I felt great until this paralyzing discomfort got here. What do I do?  -[
