Last week,  a London Gallery featured a rotting fish art exhibit, but it exploded causing a fire.   Dozens of small, transparent bags, each containing a rotting fish decorated with stitched-on sequins and beads, were fixed to a wall.   ‘Majestic Splendor’ previously assaulted visitor’s noses in New York City during January 1997, so it was decided to include a chemical called potassium permanganate in these bags to reduce the odours.   Considered more reliable than refrigeration, it was not understood that this mixture with the decaying vapours from the fish might make a very explosive combination.    Alternatively the explosion might have resulted from pressure build-up in the bags.   Fortunately fire-fighters quickly put out the blaze, and a security guard was treated for smoke inhalation.

You can find a very few Ethiopian Restaurants around south east London, and possibly in other capital cities, offering traditional food.

Watch for any Anisakis and similar parasitic worms, as you would with normal Raw Cod flesh.    Having eaten plenty of Raw Cod and Raw Haddock over many years, I have had uncomfortable experience with Anisakis and learnt to avoid painful stomach cramps by thoroughly examining the raw flesh and using 'candling' to back this up.    Have enjoyed Cod with Anisakis in it - after removing each and every one.   Occasionally rely on freezing for a period but prefer it raw and unfrozen. 

Raw chicken is great but you need to work your way into it, and generally wait until you are happy with other raw food before trying it.   You will probably enjoy it once you are ready.

Will these methods work with other raw fish skins or only with raw Salmon?   Can you use fish skins gone high, or very high?

Quite agree with this.    I was told the most frequent reason for airmen failing to qualify for service as air crew was found to be damaged hearing.   This probably applies in the other services with different limitations from impaired hearing.    Intense pressure from worn attachments is arguably worse than loud sound distributed from loudspeakers.

These worms belong to fish and cannot survive indefinitely in your body.   Anisakis survive stomach acid and can burrow into the stomach lining where they die after a few days or a week or two as they cannot enjoy our flesh.   They can be painful, as I have found with Cod where they are fairly common, once found nine, took them out and eat the fish without problems.   Candling the fish with bright light can reveal the coiled up critters so they can be removed before being eaten.    Very unpleasant while it lasts, but generally self curing if you have an unfortunate encounter with these horrors.

To help prevent it becoming anaerobic.

Developed a nasty stie in corner of my eye.   Tried to get it surgically removed and, after substantial investigation with Doctor and specialists, massive files and documents, told no funding available for its removal.    Many months later felt eye was itchy so bought Optrex Allergy Eye Drops containing sodium cromoglicate and to my amazement my stie seemed less with its twice daily use.   It has now gone completely for a couple of months, and I am satisfied the drops helped in my case.   It might not work for everyone, but could help.

I have composite fillings made with composite (Epoxy ?) resin which is exposed to an ultra violet laser at each stage of the filling process, and the Dentist uses an orange filter plate to protect his eyes and those of his assistant.   Because the filling is hardened as it progresses it can be used very soon afterwards, although a period is recommended before usual eating.   More expensive than amalgam filling, it is very effective and durable.   I also have amalgam fillings, and am very pleased indeed with my Dentist's work.   Individual teeth can be inserted directly into blank gums at some specialist clinics elsewhere, but the cost is very high - about £1,500 per tooth!
