The following is a hilarious criticism of the new Star Wars  film and franchise by a man who I normally would despise for ignorantly attacking the 2nd amendment on his(now thankfully dead) US TV show:-

I never liked Star Wars or Star Trek as they mocked (most)aliens making them seem idiotic or seem  just like humans in behaviour. Of the first Star Wars Trilogy, only the 2nd one was really any good, and that was only because george lucas had no involvement, apparently. Lucas'  dialogue was ridiculed for its idiocy by at least   2 of the actors in the first film, and the 4th to 6th films were so bad it was embarassing. I only  watched those last 3 films  because I had liked the Empire Strikes Back and just wanted to see if there was even one redeeming scene  in them - there wasn't. It was even highly patronising to the little  kids it was aimed at! Still, minus George Lucas' involvement the new movie  might end up being OK!? Who knows?

Well, sadly, this is one item where I feel like wincing not laughing, I absolutely hate all reality TV shows. They are made by TV companies because they cost very little to produce compared to other productions and are absolutely tasteless and actually quite boring. So the producers inevitably engineer fake difficulties between participants on each show to engender interest. God, why could I not have been born in the 1900s and died in 1990 before these godawful reality tv shows appeared?

Could not agree more.   These shows are no laughing matter - just a tragedy to watch!   Wondered if getting rid of all performers they could next get rid of the technicians to further save costs?   They have, with automated, remote operated cameras, so cameramen are redundant now!   Next get rid of all administrative staff and technical director and CEO.   (PLEASE!!!!!!!!!)

I had a big laugh at this with my 2nd son this morning.

I was listening to Stefan tell the story of how he met his wife and was convinced he wanted to marry her simply because she was a kind soul who picked up his sandals that he had repaired, downtown because she was already there, as a favor to him, with no strings attached.

At 9:40 he says, "You got my sandals... let's get married! You're so nice, you're so helpful... Favors from women are like money from the MAFIA..."
