General Discussion / Re: What are you eating right now?
« on: December 12, 2008, 03:26:56 pm »
My family is in Palawan Philippines beginning today.  But because of internet technology, I have a connection via cellular 3G broadband.  And even though I'm at a remote organic farm in Palawan, we have internet.  Which means I get to keep up with my employees working in the office.  The boss gets to chat with them.

This morning we arrived around 10am in Puerto Princessa city, the capital of Palawan province.

We went to the big market to see the spectacular array of fresh ocean food they have there, never been frozen.

We immediately got organic coconut vinegar for 6 pesos for a small bottle.

I got the Palawan type of sea weed like grapes, different from the ones we get in Manila for 15 pesos per plate.  I got 5 plates.

I got 3/4 kilo of live ocean shrimps for P 180.

I got newly put in the plastic fresh this morning sea urchins.  For P 20 per little plastic bag.  They had live ones there, but I didn't know how to open them up and clean them.

We all went to the restaurant around 11:30am with my wife, my kids and other Palawan locals.  They did not mind what I was having for lunch and they also ate some of my stuff.  This apparently is normal fare in Palawan where you can get everything fresh and organic.  The waiter even asked me courteously if they should remove the shells from my live shrimp.  I said yes and they unshelled my live shrimps and presented it in a nice plate presentation which I took a picture of !!!  How's that for service?

When we arrived in the organic farm, where we are staying, for refreshments they served us freshly picked coconuts, fresh from the tree jack fruit, fresh from the tree papaya.  Ah refreshing.

I'm in tropical paleo paradise right now.

-------------

I just realized how nature spoiled the people are in this province.  The organic farm director tells me he doesn't like the taste of fish that has been put in an ice chest!

(Because when he wants fresh fish, he drives over to the local fisherman or local market and gets it freshly caught, never been iced.)

Many people can be saved.

I just came from a board of directors meeting and my Christmas gift to all my fellow board members was the book by Henry Bieler MD: Food is your Best Medicine with a DVD of Food Matters http://www.tinyurl.com/foodmatters with my web development business card that also says Manggagamot (Filipino Traditional Healer): http://www.curemanual.com

This evening beside me, his wife I helped last year begin her natural way of healing atherosclerosis.  She started on raw vegan diet... now has switched to raw paleo by adding fertilized eggs... she's just about ready to add more raw animal foods... I volunteered that I would sit down with them again and teach his wife this time to eat raw animal foods and we can go to market together and get a meal so I can demonstrate to them.

I think humans learn by doing, by mimicking others, just hearing or reading about raw paleo diet is one thing, but actually being seated in front of a friend, a live human being eating raw animal foods with you and enjoying it must be inspiring for them.

A lady I did this to was amazed at my small children eating raw fish and raw eggs... gee... that seemed special to her... but it made her day... and gave her the confidence to go raw.

Carnivorous / Zero Carb Approach / Re: Overeating
« on: December 11, 2008, 10:19:08 pm »
I concur with Kristelle's personal observation.
As a rule I only eat my big raw animal food meal only once per day, usually lunch time.

The rest of the day, I'm just on hydrating fruits for snacks.

My fruits are not sugar bombs... I live in the tropics so our fruits are hydrating (coconuts, watermelons), local, organic, in season... and every month there is always a new set of fruits in season... and helps in digestion (e.g. papaya, pineapple)... and is a source of raw fat (coconut meat).

I read Henry Bieler's Food is your Best Medicine (1965) and he observes that there are types of people who do well in eating lots and lots of animal foods.  I'm probably not one of those people at this point in my life.

General Discussion / Re: How to stomach down organs?
« on: December 11, 2008, 10:14:34 pm »
I only eat organs once per week.
I eat organs that I like the taste of.
In my area, the organs I've tried where I like the taste are:
goat liver, goat kidney, beef liver, beef pancreas, chicken livers.

If I think an organ or any raw animal food or any food tastes bad, I do not eat it.

I have thrown away goat livers or chicken livers simply because they taste bad.  I think the animal was unhealthy to begin with.

It's a natural hygiene thing... if it tastes bad... its not for me.

I don't see limes in our stores.

General Discussion / Re: Tips On Moving Away From Fruit
« on: December 09, 2008, 06:48:44 pm »
Okay so I have another problem, fruit. I love fruit, but I can't control my self with it. It's like I know, one peace of fruit a day would be just fine, but I always end up eating like 4 or 5 peaces. Then I end up spiking my blood sugar ext ext, and I'm back to square one. Honey is the same thing it spikes my blood sugar, so I'm thinking I just should avoid sugar for the time being. The problem is, the further I get away from sugars, the more insane my panic attacks become. I've only made it 28 hours away from sugars so far. Does any one have any experience with this? I don't believe we as humans should avoid fruit, I also don't believe we should avoid greens I think ditching them permanently is a bad move. However; at the present time I think it's not what my body needs. So how long does the "sugar" detox last? lol.

Are your fruits sugar bombs?  My fruits are my hydrating buddies... my fruits are my water substitutes and they are not sugar bombs.

What kind of fruits are you having?  Please specify.

Aajonus has shared his experience in his book about non-organic animal liver.  He suggests to eat only from organic animals.

I did get food poisoning from a chicken liver 2 weeks ago.  But I have not gotten food poisoning from goat and beef liver yet.

I too am convinced that humans are omnivores.
I like your train of thought.  Go ahead and explore it.

Hunting big animals is more efficient.  It feeds more people at once.  But humans will have to settle for whatever is available in their locale.

Last night it was dinner time and I happened to be at the Farmer's market so I bought 1/3 kilo of freshly killed raw sirloin beef and asked the butcher to slice it in small bite size pieces.

I went to the dining area.  Many people bring their raw fish or animal from the market to the restaurants for cooking. I got a plate and started eating with a fork.

Raw Paleo saves on money for cooking and eliminates pollution from cooking and condiments.

General Discussion / Re: Those With Acne or Who Had Acne
« on: December 06, 2008, 07:15:55 am »
So I'm starting to break out a bit again, which I expected to happen changing my diet. I'm also not taking a number 2 as often. Once a day or once every other day. So my question is, how do I get rid of the acne in the raw animal food diets and get my digestive system moving smoothly? What foods should I avoid and what foods should I indulge in? I know we're all different, but for those who have had success with acne let me ,know your tricks! So far I've been going at the fish, honey and eggs. I've also had other random things like cheese, sauerkraut, figs, apples, oranges. I seem to be craving carbs BIG time. Like...BIIIIG time. lol. Lots of fruits seem to keep my digestive system moving, but I'm trying to get my body utilizing fats as energy instead of straight carbs.

I used to have lots of cystic acne.  My parents did not know anything but western medicine at that time so I got victimized by steroid injections, steroid creams and accutane.

Today, the ultimate dietary cure for acne with support group is a RAW PALEOLITHIC DIET with the variant WAI DIET.  http://www.curemanual.com/mind-cures-paradigm-shifts/free-acne-book  I used to do Wai Diet myself until I got bored and looked for land animals in my diet.

Of course you must know that acne is caused by toxemia... and to save your life your body resorts to vicarious elimination... through your skin.

You would have to eliminate cooked food and eat not so large amounts of raw proteins, mostly from ocean fish.  Then you do your detoxes.  You can just follow my eczema / psoriasis and acne cure protocol... it will work... for the diet... choose wai diet initially... when you are truly well... your can adjust to larger quantities of raw animal food.  What you need to do today is cure your toxemia and cure your organs.

See http://www.eczemacure.info/blog/2008/09/02/september-2008-eczema-and-psoriasis-cure-protocol/

You can guarantee yourself you will be cured as long as you read and understand, you will know what to do.  And we acne cured people will always be here to answer your questions.

Don't let that 1 case of food poisoning scare you.

This whole year I can count that I puked out on dirty mussels, dirty oysters and probably the chicken liver a few days ago.

My wife is on a primarily cooked diet and she's suffered 3 severe food poisonings this year.

I also experienced the incompatibility of raw food with cooked food in the same meal.  For example, rice does not go well with raw eggs or raw beef.

My children are primarily cooked food eaters.  But they themselves have discovered that raw animal food does not mix well with the cooked starches.  So when they have a raw egg meal... or any raw animal meal... it is just that one single food... no food combining whatsoever.

I eased into raw animal foods starting with wai diet because eggs and fish were easy raw because culturally we are exposed to sashimi (I'm grossed out at cooked salmon and cooked tuna).  But I followed Tyler's advice on the gradual reduction of cooking land animals... it must have taken me 1 to 2 months to fully adjust to not being grossed out at raw land animal food.  A few more months to get used to eating raw animal food that has been in the refrigerator for 3 days.

I don't eat that much raw animal food myself.  I usually only eat raw animal food lunch.  Maybe breakfast I will have 2 to 3 raw eggs.  But my big raw animal meal is just lunch.  At dinner I just chat with the kids or eat some not so sweet fruit.

Health / Re: Food Poisoning?
« on: December 04, 2008, 05:09:47 pm »
I can relate to that.
Last blog I wrote about the live chicken we slaughtered.
Same thing when I ate the chicken liver and unlayed egg yolks and chicken kidney.
I started salivating after a few minutes and puked it all.

I have full respect for our body wisdom, especially when we have been raw for quite some time.

This means whatever was in the chicken liver, or in the oysters or maybe a bad combination of those two... does not agree with our body.  Food combining sucks sometimes.

It took me 2 days to recover from that.  I'm thinking that maybe the chicken was unhealthy or fed something unhealthy.  Remember, the liver is a filter of toxins and only the healthiest of animal livers should be eaten.  The gerson protocol has raw calf livers in it but lately they are having a difficult time getting healthy raw calf livers.

It is great that this puking instincts save our lives.

A few months ago I blogged about me puking and pooping after eating polluted raw oysters.

So in your case it could have been the oysters or the chicken liver or both of them or a bad combination of the two.

Food poisoning happens.

It pays to be armed and dangerous... some in my arsenal: herbal colon cleansers... fasting... tree iodine... ginger tea... gorging on safe raw or slightly cooked fats... activated charcoal... oregano oil...

A book I recommend that summarizes most of the things I know is Food is your best medicine by Henry Bieler MD. http://www.amazon.com/Food-Your-Medicine-Henry-Bieler/dp/0345351835

Instead of running through my whole website Cure Manual, just read that 1 book and you will be given a better insight into how to solve your current health issues.

Hi, go easy on the oranges in the orange juice fast (not feast). It is just 1 pint a day + as much distilled water as you want.  No other food.

Here is the description of the orange juice fast: http://www.curemanual.com/detox-protocols/intestinal-cleansing/orange-juice-fasting

Some people should balance their blood sugar with taking lecithin supplements (as a source of fat) while doing the OJ fast.

Quitting RICE or cooked food wasn't easy for me either.
It took a 14 day orange juice fast for me to physiologically reset my system to get rid of cooked food addiction and with it rice addiction.
I'm Filipino and every Filipino is addicted to rice.

Classic case your brother needs to cleanse his colon... result of old habits.

He can either do raw paleo high fat and wait a few months for his colon to clear up or he can do herbal colon cleanses now and be done in 10 days or less.

Here is a link to colon cleansing http://www.curemanual.com/detox-protocols/colon-cleanse

I do not drink water just before or just after a meal.
I have experienced reduced digestion when I do that.
Raw paleo food is hydrating so I don't see a need to drink anything.

I drink my fluids, usually coconut juice during other times of the day.

Yes but is your diet what you eat with others? Is a raw heart what in eat with others?

Charles says that food is not entertainment but at least he can eat a steak (grain or grass fed) with others!

You have the most nicest hobby; your family!

Nicola

I've progressed along and my family has moved on and accepted that my raw paleo diet is normal.  I eat breakfast lunch and dinner with them.  Sometimes the raw animal food I eat appeals to them and they partake in it too: raw fish, raw squid, raw eggs... they eat seared beef / goat steak, mine is raw, they eat cooked chicken, mine is raw... and everyone has a grand time.

My family understands because I was once sick and they know 100% raw food diet is needed.  I'm the recognized family healer so they know they can always turn to a 100% raw paleo diet when they become deathly sick, just like those family members I saved. (not by diet alone, but diet was a big foundation)

When I'm out with friends I can eat either fruit or the least cooked animal food in small quantities whichever I judge as safer, least damaging.

It's no big deal.  Maybe it is because I'm "over the hump", it has been 11 months now of rpd and prior to that it was fruitarian and vegan.  Maybe culturally in my country eating raw fish and raw eggs has always been accepted, it is raw land animals that they only need to get used to.
