Yeah I remember pickled eggs too! Never seen anybody eat one of those either. Nor a pickled pigs foot. I bet more of them were eaten on wagers than out of actual hunger. The pickled eggs looked like they had been shelled but thinking back the acid in the vinegar might have just made the shells soft.

I wonder if vinegar is paleo. It would seem so and that it would form naturally in fruit that is rotting. Same with alcohol. I've seen nature videos of monkeys getting drunk and falling out of trees from eating fruit that has fermented.

Exercise / Bodybuilding / Re: bodybuilding and eating
« on: May 26, 2017, 05:04:33 am »
When I was in my 30's I did very well bodybuilding, eating raw eggs. I used to consume a dozen or two a day and a few people thought I was on steroids. Now I will be 60 in less than 9 months and nearly everyone accuses me of being on them but my secret is raw organ meat smoothies. I tried the raw eggs and they don't work nearly as good for me as they did in my 30's maybe eggs aren't as good as they used to be. I still do them once in a while. I can really tell the difference and feel like crap when I go off my diet. Bodybuilding is way more related to diet than exercise. I don't even feel like exercising when I go off my diet.

Off Topic / Re: Why is my cat overweight?
« on: May 26, 2017, 03:07:02 am »
I know someone who had a dog that was extremely fat. They put her on a diet but she continued to gain weight. They gave her some kind of high protein diet dog food which the dog refused to eat but some how it continued to gain weight. When they went to work they would leave the dog chained up in the back yard. One day they decided to watch her to see if the neighbors were feeding her. Turns out they weren't. Instead they noticed that the dog was eating grass hoppers. 1000's of them. Apparently grass hoppers are fattening.

I don't know about raw eggs but when I was a kid my dad always went to a bar that had a bowl full of hard boiled eggs. I never saw anyone order one and my dad went there for years... till one day a new guy came in and ordered one. He cracked it on the bar, peeled it and ate it without complaining about it being spoiled or to my surprise keeling over dead!

Carnivorous / Zero Carb Approach / Re: Eating raw, frozen offal
« on: May 25, 2017, 01:26:44 am »
I been eating raw offal smoothies for more than the past year. Up till the beginning of this year I was practically living on them and most people thought I was on steroids. When I stopped for a few months I reverted back and started looking like before. Instead of going back I went the other way and started eating lots of nuts and canned sardines and got weaker. I see now that I have made a mistake and am returning to eating mostly raw offal. Liver is my favorite and I never did give it up entirely these past few months. The only one I can't stand is kidney. Tripe is my second least favorite because of the texture. No matter how long I leave it in the food processor it never blends up completely. I have found adding vinegar and Worcestershire sauce helps me get it down. Besides loving liver, thymus (sweet breads), heart and rocky mountain oysters (testicles) make pretty good raw meat smoothies. I cut them in chunks and freeze them when I buy them, then throw them in the food processor and slowly add water till I end up with a nice thick ice cold shake. I used to use a blender but found it was heating up the food because of the bearings so I just switched to a food processor because the bearings never touch the food.
