Also instead of using expensive filet mignon I used cheap tri-tip. Tri-tip has a lot more fat in it so I didn't need any olive oil like in the video. Besides. I forgot about it anyway.

I just tried steak tartar for the first time and my first reaction was Oh My God! I got the idea from watching the video below but I made it a lot differently . In my version instead of cubing the steak I took it out of the freezer for about an hour and popped it into my food processor semi frozen with the slicing blade on it. I cut the meat up just so it would fit in the food processor and left the slices whole. It was probably a lot chewier that way. I just did it because I was too lazy to cut it up and thought the slices would be nice. A little like beef jerky. Also I only used lemon juice, salt and pepper to spice it. I can't believe how good it tastes. Why haven't I made this before? Though this was my first time eating raw steak I've been eating it practically raw for quite some time only cooking it enough to brown the outside. Sometimes it was even cold in the middle. So I guess I've  been eating it semi tartar for a while. I had no idea going totally raw would taste so good! Who knew?

p.s. It was way better than beef jerky!

Hmm. When I think about it I guess I don't realize how far I've come. I've been on a 50% or more raw diet for some time now. I remember giving up grains. Sometimes I still crave them and it's been years. When I do I make sprouted wheat bread that I bake for 4 to 8 hours on my oven's lowest setting so in a way it's almost raw. Also I make my steaks so rare that they are actually raw in the middle. Probably close to what the paleo's ate when they discovered animals burned to death from a forest fire. I still cook pork and chicken all the way through though I don't eat that much of it. A well done steak actually grosses me out. I'm also starting to get tired of canned sardines. I think I eat them for the hot sauce (my favorite flavor) more than for the fish.

After thinking about making a dehydrator I came to the conclusion that it would be better if I just went out and bought a real one. I did some looking and found a really nice used on on ebay for auction and then thought about it some more and decided that I really don't like jerky enough to invest in one and that it's just a passing fad.

There is a used on on ebay in the states that I was considering that would probably be a good deal for someone if it doesn't go to high.

It only has 4 more hours to go so if anyone is interested they will have to act fast.

I was a vegetarian for over 10 years but I never gave any of my meat eating friends a hard time. But whenever I go on forums it always seems like there is someone who is vegan and goes around preaching hate to everyone every time they mention anything to do with eating meat. That's the one thing I've noticed on this forum that is (thankfully) lacking. It seems like all vegans are that way even though I know it's not true. I guess in reality it's not that way and that there are just a few extremists that go around ruining it for everybody. Thinking back I tried going vegan for 6 months and I never felt that way. In fact I hid it from all my friends and the only time I brought it up was when someone kept offering me meat and wouldn't leave it alone.

I love eating raw fruit and meats but if I don't eat anything cooked, after a day I start going nuts. Like I'm going through some kind of withdrawal. I've been thinking about it for some time and I've come to the conclusion that I have an addiction to cooked food. How did you guys get over it? How long did it take before you no longer desired anything cooked or maybe actually became repulsed by it? How bad did your cravings get? Is there anything you would compare it to?

Wow I love this thread. I was just thinking about buying some jerky but now I want to make some.

What about drying fat? The reason organ meats other than heart don't dry so well is probably because they are loaded with fat. That is why liver has so much cholesterol.

I looked at the pictures in the pdf link of the food dehydrator. The light source still gives off plenty of heat I imagine. Anyone ever tried making something like that with only an electric fan? Perhaps adding a small fan, like one from a computer or personal desk fan might do the trick. I'm going to keep my eyes open for a suitable box. Seems like a tall one would work better. Especially for adding a fan. I'm going to see what kind of fan I can find from Walmart too. I live in the dessert so maybe placing it outside would work. Hmm. Just gotta keep it away from bugs. Maybe that's not such a good idea after all.

What about using mustard greens?

I've tried juicing them and they are very hot. Like Chinese mustard.

I'll bet if you put mustard greens in the food processor you'd have something unique. It would be much hotter than mustard seed and it would be obviously green.

Perhaps some vinegar or lemon juice might keep it from going bad if you don't want to use it right away. Though that might make it too watery.

Just mustard greens on their own would spice up any dish or salad!

LOL. I'm getting some pretty orange urine from fruit pectin. I don't know why I keep trying stuff but I did. Tastes pretty good and cost me 5 bucks for a small jar. Turns out that the white stuff in orange peelings is 30% pectin so I'm probably much better off just juicing oranges with the peelings as they are not heated or processed with chemicals and don't cost anything. One step backwards and two steps forwards hopefully!

I guess my digestive system is back to normal. Looking back I wonder if it had anything to do at all with the shiitake mushrooms and wasn't just some sort of coincidence. Yesterday my girlfriend came down with the same thing and we have totally different diets. She also told me a bunch of her friends had it and that it seems to be making it's rounds.

I still can't get over how good and clean my teeth felt after eating shiitakes. I do think that there is something to them dissolving biofilm. Just to be safe I'd like to keep them in the deep freeze for a couple weeks. I also read that papain and bromelain, extracts from papaya and pineapple, dissolve fiofilm so maybe I'll try those again. I think my teeth were really starting to feel cruddy when I went off raw food for a while and that maybe it's just going to take a bit for them to catch up. After all it did take a while after going off it before I started feeling cruddy. Thinking back I did use papain and bromelain in my meat smoothies to aid in digestion along with lots of vinegar and should probably start adding them back. I never attributed my teeth feeling clean to them and always thought it was due to the raw meat alone.   

I came across many interesting links while researching shiitake mushrooms but didn't mention anything about them as I am unable to post links. Not sure what I should do about it. I don't like quoting something without giving credit to the link I got it from so I'm kind of in a state of limbo.

One of my favorite foods growing up as a kid was pickled herring. I never knew it was raw till many years later. Also I heard that salami and pepperoni are also raw.

It's been a while since I ate the shiitake mushrooms and still have diarrhea.  I doubt there are any mushrooms left inside my body so I am suspecting that maybe there was some kind of parasites on them.   Funny. This is my second year of eating raw meat and I never had a problem with it. Who knew that it would be mushrooms that would cause me problems? It's either them or it's a very strange coincidence. When I was a kid I got the flu after eating chicken one time. I doubt the chicken was the cause but for years I stopped eating it because my mind had made the association.  Just to be safe I put the mushrooms in my deep freeze where I store my meat. That should kill off any parasites that may have been on them.  I was also wondering if maybe it could be from the spores from them. I never heard of that but I suppose anything is possible. I am eating some candied ginger right now and plan on consuming anything else I can find that will eradicate whatever this is and take some acidophilus to repopulate with some friendly bacteria. Thinking back I've also been craving pickles. Maybe that was my body trying to tell me something.

Yes. The salt I buy claims to be dried in the sun. I always have to be careful when I go over to someone's house that uses regular table salt, not to over salt my food. Real sea salt is less salty and I only need to use half as much. After having gotten used to real salt, table salt tasted very chemical to me.

I highly recommend you save some jars and start doing it for yourself. Start small till you get the hang of it to avoid throwing out huge batches and then once you get the hang of it you can go to town!


I'm afraid it doesn't work that way. The yeasts and cultures on the vegetables are already on there so unless you sterilize them by boiling you can not control the culture you begin with. On the other hand this is exactly what you do when you make ginger beer. First you boil it to kill off everything. Then you add a specific type of yeast into a sterile environment. For example champagne yeast. With uncooked wild live cultures like making pickles however you are stuck with whatever is on them to begin with so all you can do is control the conditions to propagate the ones you want. I always use extra salt than recommended when I pickle. I feel this is needed because I use real Celtic sea salt, which has many other minerals besides sodium chloride so you need a little extra.  My favorite thing to ferment  is a mixture of carrots, celery and onions. I also make a mean salsa from tomatoes, onions and hot peppers. For spices I like salt, pepper, oregano. cayenne, and last but not least garlic!

It's not the salt that is bad. It's the processing. Commercial table salt is heated to over 1000 degrees. Even so called sea salt is often no better because the companies that process it make more money from selling all the minerals they extract from it than they do from selling the salt. I buy only raw unprocessed salt and have done so for many years. My favorite is Celtic sea salt but the French gray salt is pretty much the exact same thing for a lot less money.

I live in the south of france and at the moment it is very hot here. My bucher gives me a lot of fat and I freeze some of them to allways have fresh fat at hand >D
Last daysbecause I had not taken the fat out before I was hungry,  and I was sooo hungry,  I started eating the back fat just frozen and it is so so jumy, it is like ice cream for me. The fat I can cut very easy even frozen, it melts in my mouth and I love it and it feels good in my belly, its my favourite treat now  8)

Sweetbreads contain a lot of fat. When I first started eating them my butcher would give me raw pancreas. But later he switched to the ones made from the thymus gland and sold them for nearly half the price. I think the thymus sweetbreads are better. Only young humans and animals have fully formed thymus glands. By the time you get to my age most peoples thymus glands shrink to less than 10% the size they were as youths. Come to think of it. I wonder if it was the raw thymus gland that was responsible for turning my hair color back more than the liver!

I wish I could afford to buy grass fed beef. In addition to thymus I consume calves liver. Since calves are slaughtered young most of them never get a chance to go to the stock yards and be fed grain. So in a way calf liver and thymus are grass fed anyway. They are just not advertised that way.

I just discovered a trick to grind up tripe in my food processor. Normally it's so tough that it just gets stringy no matter how long it's in there but I tried adding some ice to the frozen tripe after I ground it up a little instead of water. It made the tripe grind up completely instead of into slimy strings like it normally does when adding only water. I guess the ice gives the blades something to push against instead of just flinging it around in a slimy mess. Once it was completely ground up I added enough water to melt the ice. I wish I had discovered this 50 pounds of tripe ago. Tripe seems to be really good for my joints. I'm guessing this is due to all the collagen it contains. It's like gelatin on steroids! My nails are also very strong and my hair is just as thick as when I was a kid. It began to turn gray a few years ago but has since reverted back to it's natural color. I think this is due to eating raw liver more than to raw tripe.

Now If I could only find a way to make kidney more palatable. To me kidney tastes like piss. It would be all right if it just did while I drank it but I keep burping up the taste for hours.  I tried soaking it in baking soda water but that didn't work. I wonder if vinegar would. The affects of raw kidney are profound. The several times I have tried it, it gave me incredible energy. I suspect maybe it has something to do with the kidneys being located just below the adrenal glands. It also makes me pee a lot. There is an old tale that says to eat the part of an animal you are trying to repair AKA like cures like. I think this is especially true with the kidney.

Before I started eating raw offal I tried to find some raw glandulars only to find that they were incredibly expensive. I took them when I was younger and found they really worked. A couple years ago I made a guy on ebay an offer for some but he declined my offer. That was when I decided to buy them from the butcher shop and make them myself. It was the best move I ever did and is also very economical. It seems nobody wants this stuff and they are practically giving it away!

I have a lot of experience making my own pickled vegetables from scratch. Vegetables will make their own vinegar by simply leaving them to ferment. Adding salt will not only make them taste good but keep them from turning to mush. The salt and spices you add are what control which types of microbes are allowed to grow and the flavor you get. The flavor comes not only from the spices but from the very types of microbes you allow to grow during the fermentation process by adding them.

I don't drink anymore but I also have a lot of experience making my own wine and alcoholic beverages. Ginger beer was the most rewarding and easiest to make. If you cap any fermentation and make it hard for the gasses to escape it will make it's own natural carbonation.

I used to eat a lot of shiitake mushrooms a few years ago and thought maybe I should try them again to get some more variety in my diet. I quit ordering them after the batch I got was really woody but it had more to do with the batch I ordered. This time I ordered some from Ebay that claimed to be grade A++. They were very good. Not even a hint of woodiness. So good in fact that I ate them right out of the bag and gorged myself on them. Boy was I sorry. A few hours later I was shitting my brains out and had such bad gas that my girlfriend threatened to kick me out of her house.

To be honest at the time I wasn't even sure it was the mushrooms but after googling I found out that eating too many can cause that effect. One good thing I noticed that my teeth felt really clean. I think what happened was that the mushrooms changed my intestinal flora and suddenly killed off a bunch of bad bacteria. This all happened three days ago and I've been afraid to touch them since but I got a feeling that I should and that a few of them in moderation will be very good for me.

I also noticed a change in my saliva and can taste the mushrooms in it even three days later. That means that the effect must be systemic. Thinking back I can remember getting diarrhea after eating shiitakes before but nothing as bad as a few days ago. Perhaps it was due to the quantity I ate and the fact that I hadn't eaten them in years. To be honest I wasn't positive it was the mushrooms and was suspecting it may have been due to chlorella which I also started taking a couple days prior to eating the mushrooms but I already knew to beware of chlorella so I didn't take that much at all. I'm reasonably sure now that it was due to the mushrooms because I can taste them on my saliva and my girlfriend claims she can smell them on my breath days later. The whole experience wasn't really that bad for me and the worst part was my girlfriend complaining about all the bad gas they gave me. I got a feeling that the gas wouldn't be that bad if I ate that many again because the mushrooms cleaned me out. But just to be safe I will probably eat them in moderation from now on. I think maybe this batch is also more potent than the ones I got before. Time will tell I guess.

If you have the money I recommend an Omega Juicer.

If you don't have the money you can usually pick up a Hamilton Beach Bigmouth juicer on Amazon for 25 dollars. The ones for that price claim to be used but both of the ones I have ordered looked to be brand new.

I'm sort of on the fence about juicing. My diet is mostly raw meat smoothies and vegetable juices. Though I think the fiber is equally as important. I usually find myself adding back some supplemental fiber to replace some of the fiber extracted from juicing. I usually use the soluble fiber because the stuff made from psyllium husk turns to jello as soon as you mix it. When I did my homework I found out that the fiber was extracted from wheat which I do not consume in any other form unless it is sprouted. Been thinking of quitting the adding of supplementary fiber to my juices as soon as I use up all the ones I bought. My favorite juice is cucumber lemon. I used to peel the lemons but I recently started putting them in with the peelings. In addition to lemon oils from the skin it makes the juice very thick which is probably nearly all fiber so adding the supplemental fiber at this point is likely totally unnecessary. I also started juicing whole oranges and tangerines. For years I wouldn't drink orange juice because of all the sugar but I'm not tempted to drink that much if I juice it with all the peelings. I also tried juicing a whole grapefruit and found it was extremely bitter. I don't juice carrots or potatoes anymore because of all the sugar and carbohydrates. I'm sure our paleo ancestors didn't have electric juicers but I follow a diet that I believe to be healthy. The fact that it's mostly raw paleo is more of a coincidence than doing it on purpose.

If you do the math there are not enough internet connections in India or anywhere else to be doing it manually. Even the link farms are most likely outsourced from deep state and using sophisticated software for remote, automated spamming.

It's almost certain that the vast majority of  those spammer posts are coming from the deep state and being made to look like they are coming from China and Russia. They are also most certainly mechanically generated and not coming from an actual human being.  Two or three posts should be adequate to take care of the problem. 10 posts is probably over kill. If a machine can figure out how to get past 2 posts it can just as easily do 10.
