Why would paleo man be fighting with their arms and legs when they had tools?

Good lord man you are overthinking things. Go to whatever your local club is and learn the basics. Its not like you spend two weeks on learning to punch and then go into flying elbow strikes so just get started. In the kind of real but not real fighting you are talking about you really only use basic punching and kicking, and take some kind of ground fighting which is a lot of fun if you are secure enough in your sexuality to get gripsed up nice and close with other muscled sweaty men.

In regards to deflecting or bracing for a hit, it really depends, it is all situational and happens very fast, generally you will just take a hit while you try to dodge, you only learn how to not get hit in the head, by getting hit in the head so stop trying to make sure you learn the "perfect" martial art and just get out there and start training at the best club you can find.

I found that when the maggots were all left to do their juicy thing inside a hunk of meat they made the meat  smell and taste like some kind of weird ammonia/stomach juice combination that i did not enjoy. Dry aged meat is my favourite thing ever, and maggots that are not covered in their own juice are fine to eat, but wet juicy maggot meat i will pass on.

Why would you need to kill a large animal bare handed?

Ahh, I dont think that you are going to eat dicks and testicles and wake up looking ripped.
Your lack of muscle mass probably has more to do with you not lifting heavy things repeatedly and less to do with the sex of the meat you are eating.

I personally found that trying to put on muscle mass eating a strict raw paleo diet very difficult.

GS, are you saying that gay people who have all kinds of wild and crazy sex with each other with no reproductive repercussions is a terrible thing and the epidemic needs to be stopped?
The high population of bakla in cities might just be from them wanting to live in the city because i imagine that if you are a flamboyant homosexual looking to have lots of awesome freaky sex living in a rural area may not be the best place for that kind of thing.

Being a homo is not paleo.
Dont you see, there are these two tribes in africa who are not gay, and love to make babies. They are Correct.

I was raised on soy and quite effeminate when i was a teen. When I stopped soy and went paleo I feel like I matured, but correlation does not imply causation. Other things were going on too that may have manned me up. Although I was effeminate, I wasn't gay,  so maybe your one year old just likes to squeal and run about on his tip toes but its ok, he will still kiss the girls.

My farmer does grass fed over the summer months and during the rest of the year I eat cows that are on grass/hay and get oats and barley (soaked 24hrs too) so they "make weight" because there are all kinds of bullshit rules. My wife and I are fussy with meat and we both think that this meat is fine, so I believe that your food can eat some grain, but it matters what/how it's done.

There is a neurological aspect to strength as well as a muscular size aspect, so with high neurological efficiency you can use the muscle you have better, but someone with your level of efficiency with larger muscles will be stronger than you.

And I am 5'4 and 150lb, my wife is 5'5 and 130lb and I consider her lean, so I would say that you are underweight.

She has been eating zero carb for five years now and eats plenty of fat, I imagine she is accustomed to no carbs. I also used the term anaerobic loosely, just because you do movements explosively in martial arts which is different than slower Endurance movements, but there is plenty of aerobic stuff too.

It could just be because she has never done something like this before so is adapting.  That's why I was just seeing if there was anybody here who is athletic on a zero carb diet, or if people find they have to add some form of carbs to help performance.

I thought that having sex was supposed to be good for your body? Why would having sex with lots and lots of men make a woman old and haggard?.. I bet they would also have loose vaginas because lots of dicks makes your vagina loose too!! haha.

Strict military press.
It was actually you who got me to stop talking out my ass about 'functional strength' and start lifting. I just flung weights around for a bit but once I did some reading and did a program (I'm just doing a 5x5 starting strength) I really noticed the gains. I've been lifting properly for about 8months but began maybe 18 months ago.

So far my bench press has gone from about 110 lbs to 200 lbs, and my military press from about 80 lbs to 140 lbs.  I don't have a squat rack so I do pistol squats with 60 lbs  and I can't drop the weights so deadlift 300 which I could probably do more but slowly lowering it to the ground is brutal haha.

I have only noticed only good things from weight lifting ( properly) and for something that takes me less than 2 hrs a week, I would recommend it to everybody.

Is there anybody here who is eating a zero carb diet while also doing regular intense anaerobic activities?

My wife has started Kung-Fu/Kickboxing a few nights a week and she is finding it pretty brutal as far as her energy levels go. While she did lots of Yoga and regular daily stuff like gardening general moving, and even weightlifting, she did not notice it or ever question her diet, but now she is thinking that a Zero carb diet is more of a healing/restorative diet, and if you want to do intense activity more than once or twice a week you may need to add some kind of carbohydrate source in.
I have also tried eating just meat/fat while working out 5 days a week and it really just was not working for me either.

Anybody here have any experience with zero carb and energy levels during anaerobic exercise?

I think that if you are just starting out and are serious, you don't need to do weird crossfit what the hell exercises. Just do regular squats, you will get gains and not injure yourself. If you were sore for three weeks that's not a good workout, and if you are after progress a routine that let you recover and work out again faster would be much more efficient than 'convict' squats.

haha, this may be why you cannot see your abdominal muscles. You are getting fat (or swollen) from all that milk :P

What makes you think that you can do squats and heavy lifting all day, and then get up and run an animal down for miles and miles, having never trained distance running because its not paleo?

And im sorry man, but its entirely possible to have sweet abs and still be healthy. Just keep on working hard and eating right.

Exercise / Bodybuilding / Re: Question about weight-lifting
« on: April 05, 2013, 01:31:24 am »
When I stopped lifting random weights and started an actual 'program' (a basic 5x5 starting strength routine) I had much better results as well.  I am at an intermediate level now according to http://www.exrx.net/Testing/WeightLifting/StrengthStandards.htm so I will probably need to change things up a bit to keep on getting gains, But i pretty much just do Bench, Overhead press, Deadlifts and Squats. Takes about an hour each time, twice a week (or more if i get time/feel like it).
I really only wanted to be able to lift the 200lb guys off of me who i would be getting crushed by in grappling, and now that i can almost do that I might just stay there and work on getting more reps out of that weight.  And since I have a function for the benchpress movement, does that mean that benchpressing is actually a functional strength? haha.

I also still do bodyweight exercise, because lifting heavy weights in say, a squat, is a little bit different than jumping as high as you can from a squatted position with just your body weight, and i feel that both are important.

Also, doing bodyweight things.. I used to be able to almost hold a planche, but when i started lifting, my body got heavier and made doing things like that more difficult.  It took a little while to get used to doing a butterfly twist with a heavier body weight.  I also lost some flexibility because the time i used to spend on yoga went into lifting, So when you get stronger, you have to work harder on other aspects of your physicality to keep everything balanced.

GTFO
He asked about getting stronger erections.. Obviously you have never done pelvic floor exercises or you would know that they definitely work. If you work hard at them wodgina one day you too can be like me and have muscles so strong that if you want to, you can squeeze them to suppress your ejaculation and avoid the refractory period, thus becoming a multi-orgasmic male (a stud who can go at it for hours easily).  Another reason that I may not have the same problems with women that you seem to have.. Haha.

I know that they Are not the same muscles that women have, but the action to stimulate them is basically the same.
It would also stimulate blood flow to the area which will help. The yoga pose "cobra" is supposed to promote circulation to the Genitals and increase hormone levels too.

Maybe people here are talking about different things, or have different ideas of what strength is.

I do not believe that paleo man was bench pressing 300+ lbs haha.
I do not believe that being able to carry 100lbs on your shoulder for a few miles is STRONG. Its stronger than your average person, you're going to be tired at the end of the day, but to say that you're one strong mo-fo.. I think we just have different ideas here.

You can get good results from infrequest HIIT training, but to say that its the most effective way to build massive strength is a bit of a stretch.

Then why wouldn't Olympic lifters just train occasionally instead of every day?
Or are you saying that if you don't want to spend that time but still be pretty strong you can train occasionally?

So you're saying that you don't exercise frequently and you're not particularly big or ripped?
